Unfortunatley you can never tell. I've had 2 mc, and I'm now pregnant again. Every time has been different and I've had bleeding with all 3 pregnancies.
I had brown discharge for 7 weeks with the first before the bleeding became really heavy and I lost the baby at 8 weeks. The second, I started bleeding at week 4 and mc at 5 weeks. This time I started bleeding really heavily at 10 weeks, rushed to A&E and was sent for a scan. Everything was fine, and it was still fine at my 12 weeks scan (which I had at 13 weeks). I'm now 16 weeks and I havent had anymore bleeding.
My doctor has told me that bleeding in early pregnancy is so common it's almost normal. Try not to worry, but any bleeding should be checked out. Go to your doctor and get refered for an early pregnancy scan, if nothing else it will out your mind at rest.
Good luck honey.
Love Sarah & Jelly 16 weeks. xxx

Try not to worry. I no its easier said than done but really try to think possitive. Lots of people do bleed around 5/6 weeks it can be old blood coming out of even if its around the dates that your period would have been. If you start bleeding heavier or are in pain I would also suggest visiting A and E they will book you in for a scan on Monday to check you over. My friend is pregnant at the mo and she has had bleeding from the day she found out and is 17 weeks now and everything looks fine. Hope you are ok. Try to rest and take things easy. xx

bleeding is quite common in pregnancy. try not to worry as this can bring miscarriages on. as its your 1st pregnancy it may just be your womb stretching. if your not in any pain i wouldnt worry about it. if its really bad i would succest visiting your a&e.
dont know if this helps but im my mums 1st and she had quite a bit of bleeding with me, but im ere. yippeee.
all the best. xxx
