"I know" Posted by bluecybrian 5 February at 15:46
I recently miscarried on 30 of Jan. Me and my hub went to three different hospitals to get results, because we were in denile.I bled for 6days and on the day of I felt somthing in my panties when I got up to use the bathroom. It was the baby.It just came out without me knowing. At each hospital the doctors kept saying my HCG was low for 5 weeks. They said to stay on bed and i did. There wasnt nothing we could do different. The only thing we can do is try again. My hub was so hurt hes actually wants to try again right away. Its been 6 days and we are trying again hopfully everything will work out.

they scanned me a few days into my m/c and said almost everything had come away but there was a tiny bit left, didn't bother to re-scan me and as my next period was heavy and long I assumed the rest had come away then. Me and OH started trying again straight away and when my next period was due I tested and got a BFP. Then a couple of days later I started bleeding really heavily and it turned out I still hadn't lost all the old tissue and that was why I got a positive test. No D&C neccessary cos I really had lost it all with that second period and another HPT came back negative a day or two later. It can obviously take a while for our bodies to deal with what's happened as well as our heads and hearts, take care hun.

thank you you have eased my mnd. but what annoys me is that the doctors were saying i was pregnant , the never thought to say maybe it was old tissue. so i have been thinking i pregnant. then when i had a three day bleed i assumed i was miscarryig. its only when got rescanned that they saw old tissue. can old tissue give you hcg levels ?i feel that i have not been cared for properly

"Hi hun," Posted by sadclare 2 February at 21:56
they definitely should have re-scanned you (and me for that matter) and yes old tissue will still give you an hcg level. Docs never seem to tell us anything when we m/c, it's wrong but it seems to happen a lot, I'm so sorry they left you thinking it might be a new pregnancy. Hcg is produced by the placenta and that's often the last thing to come away, had to find all this out on the net cos like you docs told me nothing. Your head must be all over the place and really don't feel like I've been much help but if there's anything I can do message me anytime. Look after yourself,

"Is ths normal" Posted by anna20083 2 February at 23:08
its been 3 days since my d and c i stopped bleeding rigth after d and c. the day after my hpt showed negative. i think my period is coming is that because my hormones have hit the negative ?

"Not sure" Posted by sadclare 2 February at 23:27
don't think you necessarily get your period because your hormone level has dropped, everyone's different but it can take a little while for your body to sort itself out and adjust to everything that's happened. I was pretty lucky and my cycle sorted itself out quite quickly once all the tissue from m/c had gone so hopefully you'll be the same but you have to remember your body's been through a lot lately so don't be surprised if things are a bit haywire for a while. Are you wanting to try again straight away?

to be honest with you i going to wait a few months. i am so wrecked through all of this i have had 2 miscarriages in one year it feels like 3 e=with the false pregnancy i just had. felt relieved to have a negative test at least i know tissue has left.i have not bled since d and c but i saw some spotting just now 3 days post d and c

I've just had a break from it all for a couple of months and it's given me a chance to get my head straight so know what you mean. Think it's just awful that you could have been saved that 3rd blow if only the hospital had given you more info, I really am truly sorry that happened to you. Think it's natural to feel relieved that your tests are negative now, this must have felt like a never-ending nightmare for you and I know it hurts that it's over at the same time but at least now you can start to get your head around it all. Wouldn't worry too much bout the spotting, might just be your body getting ready for your next cycle but keep an eye on things and don't be afraid to see your GP if you're worried about anything, that's what they're there for. If there's anything I can do message me anytime, take care hun.
