I was just curious if anyone else had had a DVT? I had one a couple of years ago and when i told my doc about trying for a baby, they were very mindful about the DVT. I was yold that once the pregnancy was confirmed I would be put on heparin injections. I m/c at 6 weeks and have an appointment with gyny in a few weeks. Just wanted to know if anyone else had had experience with DVT associated with M/C. X

but following my m/c in October, they found massive blood clots on the placenta.
They have taken loads of blood for testing and have put me on a strict regime of daily aspirin (the baby kind) once per day. Have you tried that? Some say it aids conception as well.
I will also be on heparin if and when I get another BFP.
Just makes things a bigger worry, but at least we know what caused the loss of our babies which is more than some will ever know.
Hope this helps, pm anytime if you need to chat

it was only when I went to see my GP after I'd had the m/c confirmed that she mentioned the DVT. I hadn't really give that any thought, apart from obviously being at high risk of another one whilst pregnant. We still don't know if my m/c was caused by 'sticky blood' as the cause of my DVT was never found. I have a gyny appointment in a couple of weeks, my GP said that it may be a case of haemotology and gyny working together with me for the best course of action. But def will have to have heparin daily once pregnancy confirmed.
That must have been awful to find that was the cause of your m/c, but like you said at least they know the cause and it can be treated next time around. Asprin hasn't been mentioned to me as rather than being actual clots, mine was a thrombosis, and i was on warfarin for six months. My gp said asprin wouldn't really help my condition.
Good luck xxx
