"Is it my period?"

hello . please can someone give me some much needed advice. I had a difficult misscarriage just over 4 weeks ago which involved a blood transfusion and a stay in hopsital. I was 12 weeks but the scan showed there had been no development past 8 weeks. The hospital didn't do a an evac and after a second scan I was told that their was a little tissue left but that it would all pass naturally. I have been light bleeding for three weeks until last week it got a little heavier and I past a clot. I was still spotting what looked like old blood so went to the doctor who gave me anti-biotics just in case there was an infection. That was last Friday. It all seemed to be tapering off and for the last couple of days I have only had a discharge that was light brown and 'mucusy' looking (sorry for all the detail) so I thought it was stopping. However, this morning I still have the discharge - only really when I wipe - but now it is peppered with little bits of red blood. Could this be my period starting??? When will it all end!! This hasn't stopped for 4 weeks and I'm really fed up and just want to try and put this behind me. Any comments/advice will be really appreciated. Thank you.

I went through something similar, not having a d&c but there still being a bit of tissue left causing an infection. I bled for around 2 weeks after and then started up again, then stopped then started again 4 days later! I remember feeling like it was never gonna end and cos everyone's different they can't tell you when it's gonna stop. It could be your period, how long was your cycle before? My cycle seems to have decided to go from 28 to 35 days now so it def screwed me up a bit. I know it's easier said than done but just try and go with it. It might not feel like it but our bodies now what they are doing and it will soon settle, i promise.
Take care honey and feel free to chat on here or pm anytime cos it's just an awful time to get through.
