"Advice please, so scared "

Hiya All,
I had a m/c in december which started with heavy bleeding & cramps & losing lots of small clots for a week, then I lost 1 big clot & everything stopped, I was told everything had happened naturally has my hcg was back to nothing within a week.

Now im in throws of a seond m/c and this one is totally different, I started getting heavy bright red bleeding friday with strong pains & I passed 2 clots, I had a scan on tuesday & the baby was still there, died at 7 weeks, since then my bleeding has slowed to what is a normal period for me but the blood in the pads seems brown & when I wipe its bright red, my pains have done & my pregnancy symptoms have too!

Im not embarrased to admit im absolutely TERRFIED of having a D&C and want to do everything I can to avoid it! Im scared of taking the pill to make it progress has ive heard anyone whos had that pil has ended up bleeding so bad they have needed an emergency D&C anyway. Any advice anyone can offer would be dearly appreciated, thanks so much

I was 10 weeks when i went in to hospital for a scan and found out the heart had stopped beating. I took 2 tablets on the wednesday and then had to go back in on the saturday for the perrersies.I went in at 9 and the first lot of pesseries didn't work so had to have some more and when they kicked in, i was stuck on the commode for 5 odd hours while i bled and passed the sac. I came out of there at 6.15 (when the day ward was about to shut), came home had a bath and then got the urge to push and passed another huge "thing"(sorry to be disgusting). Which was abit mortifying! I then bled quite heavily for a few days and then continued to bleed lightly for 2 weeks. During which time you can't use tampons, go swimming or have sex due to risk of infection. It was like really really bad period pains with afew urges to push.

oops just realised helen that your message was on the 6th march, have you already had the D&C or the tablets and how are you doing?

icant really help u .i was due to go in for the dn c on wed as i thought it would be easier tha to let it happen on its own.....but it all came out the night before so im not really much help,good luck hun

thanks for your reply, ive now been bleeding 11 days & its reduce to spotting but the pregnancy test is still reading a strong positive. So im now facing the fact that this miscarriage isnt going to be natural & im gonna need the hospital to intervine, I just dont know which option is more scary, the tablets or the D&C. Any advice on that would be greatly appreciated, I know i havent passed the baby yet has theres no clotting at all, hardly any bleeding at all if im honest & it isnt bright red. Its all getting on top of me now because it seems like its taking so long to get this miscarraige over & done with that I cant start to grieve yet & my heads all over.
