This is what I wanted to send to you but it wouldnt let me so I posted it here, its kind of long!

Well the thing is Im living in South Africa at the moment and I think they do things differently here than UK. I read up on the procedure. Over here i went to the doctors and when the scan confirmed most of the baby was out he did it right there and then I dont think thats what would happen UK theyd do it maybe as outpatient. It was over quite quickly really. I cant lie and say it was pleasant. The injection numbed the pain but you could still feel things and some parts of it were really not nice. I dont want to scare you but Ill be honest. the most horrible painful part was the end and this might be graphic sorry but it was like what was left of the baby was quite a bit and when that came out it hurt. But really it was over quickly. It didnt make me feel sick at all just dizzy and sleepy. During the procedure i didnt feel sick either. The only time I felt the least bit sick was on the journey home but I think thats because I had the procedure and went straight home where as in UK i think theyd have you sitting around a while first. After about 15 minutes I felt 100 times better. After 30mins I was up walking around eating arguing everything and from then on the bleeding pretty much stopped. Maybe for you it would be even easier because its been going on 3 weeks now there cant be much left to come out, god sounds awful Im sorry. Whereas I had mine after 3 days and it was only really the day I had the D&C that it came away properly anyway and I really lost the baby so was probably a lot more to get out.
It seems scary and horrible and I was scared as I didnt even have prior warning but even though it wasnt the most pleasant experience Ive felt so much better and back to normal since I dont regret having it done. That way you know its over with and you can move on but to be waiting around for so many weeks must be horrible. Good luck ask your doctor everything and im sure youll be fine. Honestly it didnt make me feel sick just like the kind of sleep when youve been disturbed from a nap and youre awake but feel strange if you know what I mean it felt like that. Tell me how it goes for you ok. take care

Hiya hun,
Thanks so much for replying, im sorry if I asked stupid questions & brought back thoughts & feelings you would rather forget.

I think im kinda expecting it to be kinda like a c-section, they say with those you can feel things but not painfully, just uncomfortable movemtns down there.

to be honest I just cant wait to get things over & done with, its been more than 3 weeks now & tests r still positive so they've said they're pretty sure things need helping along, ive decided I dont want to use the tablets to start it off, I had a previous m/c naturally & the blood was awful to see & actually passing the baby was a very raw experience, we had to flush it away & it hurt so much. When I rang the gyneacology ward on friday they said to ring Early Pregnancy Unit on Sunday has they have my file. Ive got an appointment with my GP on 27th but im going to call her in advance & get some advice & see if they can do the op at the local surgery.

Thanks again for your reply & I will keep you up to date

Love Hellen xXx
