"Lost my baby boy at 40 weeks"

I lost my baby boy Oliver at 40 weeks on his due date and it was mothers day. Everything had been fine, I was doing well and he had been kicking the day before, I woke up on his due day and couldn't feel him move, he normally woke me up you see. I called the hospital and was told to come in, when they told me I couldn't believe my ears I thought it was a big mistake or that I was dreaming. I was booked in the following day for an induction as I was told I had to give birth naturally (which I still feel is so cruel). Oliver weighed 11lb 5oz and they had no idea he was going to be a big baby, my bump was so small.

Oliver James was born on the 4th of March, we got to spend some time with him, he was the most beautiful boy in the world, just like his daddy.

His funeral is tomorrow and I just cant see how on earth I am going to be able to cope, parents should not out live their children but he didn't even get a chance to live.

He was obviously too good for this world.

Hi

i would ask you how are you coping but i already know the answer as i lost my little boy last year declan brian he weighed 14 pounds. i dont go a single day with out thinking about him. oliver and declan will be two big beautiful boys up there together. if you want to talk more my ears are here to listen.

i am so sorry he cant be here with you. but your day will come when he will meet you at the golden gates. not saying it will happen soon but when your turn comes he will be there for you. Just think he is just telling all your other kids how good of parents you and your partner are.
"Thank you"

to everyone who messaged me and who offered support and their thoughts. The funeral was on Thursday and it was very hard to cope with, nothing could have prepared me for seeing his wee coffin. On a positive note we have managed to raise a few hundred pounds (we asked for no flowers but donations instead)that we are going to donate to the maternity ward at the hospital that I gave birth as they where all amazing there.

Thank you all again for you messages of support
