hi, never been on here and i am new to this thought it might help to talk to people who have experienced the same thing. i found out i was pregnant on the 4th of march first time of trying which i thought was too good to be true pinpointed it with an ovulation test i got married on the 5th of april and started bleeding on the 8th of april only light but it didnt feel right as i already have an 7 yr old son and i never bleed then, i went to the docs and he said rest i thought it was over doing it cause of the wedding never felt sick as with my son i still kept bleeding and i decided to go for scan i was 10 weeks the u/s said i was 5 weeks and it was likely to be a failed pregancy and that i had endometrosis and cysts i was overwhelmed as i was oblivious to all of this, i had blood test friday and sunday for the pregnany levels went from 4000 to 2600 was informed of the d & c went back to the hostpital as the bleeding got worse had another u/s monday said the baby was in place and perfect shape but it was 6 weeks still telling me 98% sure it was misccarige and wouldnt do d & c to leave me a week going for u/s tom had heavy bleeding cramps and lots has come away. the scan will tell for sure if my baby has gone away but the agony of not being to be able to concieve again cause of the endo and cysts is daunting can any offer any advice or help i know people say move on and go on holiday but all i can think is i want a baby thats the only way for me to be happy.

"I know how you feel"

hi julie,

dont worry i know exactly how you feel, i have had 3 miscarriages in an 18 month timespan, i asked my gp to refer me to a specialist, i saw a gynae who after a laparoscopy diagnosed me with endometriosis of the right ovary, he unclogged my tubes and then he told me to start on clomid( a fertility drug that helps you to ovulate). I havent taken it yet but nothing has happened this month so i think i will give it a try. I was really shocked because i have an 8 year old and got caught straight away. Why dont you get your gp to refer you to find out how bad it is, lots of things can be done these days, so dont lose hope. you have to stay positive or it will take over you.

Julie, I had 2 miscarriages last year and tried to be brave and strong and put them out of my mind. If I lapsed and started crying I just got on and did something to distract me. Now it's back to bite me on the bum! I have done nothing but cry the last few days and It is such a relief to get it out at last. Please give yourself time to grieve for your lost baby. By all means do enjoyable things and look after yourself but it's a case of getting the balance right. I think that the people who tell you to just forget about it and go on holiday are people who haven't had a miscarriage!
Take care of yourself and speak about it either to people you know or on here. I have found a really good website today called compassionatefriends.com and there are links to a radio show. You can download the programmes and listen to them. They are really useful, might be worth a look. Take care

Clare x
