I was taken into hospital on Tuesday 12th (2 days before scan) as I was cramping really bad and had been bleeding for 4 days, they did a scan and we saw the sac, but no yoke and they dated me at 5 weeks and 2 days!! They sent me home had I had to go for a follow up blood test, which they said was not good as I did not double the hCG hormone, that left me a bit shocked and they just told me to wait for my next scan. That is tomorrow, so I am hoping that it is all alright - but I have been cramping and bleeding the whole time, it has also felt like my back is going to split into two, but I have not had the big gush of blood like the last time, so I am not too sure what is going on!

Im pregnant after my miscarriage 7 weeks ago.I havnt had a period and got pregnant so i should be about 5-6weeks. The miscarriage was natural and i lost it at 6weeks. please answer as im v. worried and dont want to loose another one. am i at any higher risk? thanks

I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago, i though i was 8 weeks pregnant, had spottong so had a scan and they told me the sac was the size of 5 weeks. it was really traumatic and am starting to cope better now.

i didnt have to have a D&C and doctor told me to wait 1 cycle - mainly to determine due dates,

we have been trying - to let nature take its course, we both feel ready now, we will just wait and see?

has anyone else been through the same?

I also miscarried at 6 weeks on the 12th April. I had carried out 3 positive tests originally and afterwards carried out 2 (negative) tests. I did not have my next period so took 2 more (positive) tests. I am now 5 months and one week pregnant and my dates show that I became pregnant for the second time the week following my miscarriage!! You will do better not worrying and take each week as it comes - easier said than done. Good luck! Jenny

hi, im 23 and from ireland. on the 3rd of august my boyfriend walked out on me. i was devestated,went thru the usual break up stuff,didnt eat much,was always depressed and crying and very restless.then on the 15th august i found out i was pregnant. i was happy but mark wasnt so he left me in another tearful state all day.then the next day,sat afternoon i started miss carrying and on monday morning 18th august i ahd a D&C.i found out i was 4weeks an 2 days.anyway,the following sat 23rd august amrk called up to me drunk and stupidly we slept together with no protection. i was still bleeding a little. now i moved to england a week later as i had to get away fom everything i went through in such a short space of time....... but im scared i could be pregnant again?i feel really different and tired all the time and my boobs are a bit tender but im wondering could i be coming up to my cycle.im scared to take a preg test but also think it could be too soon????

hi, i found out 5 week ago that i was having a miscarriage at 6 weeks preg, i opted to miscarry naturally instead of having a c&d. i had a lot of clotting and passed the sack while at home. since then i have had a few scans to check that it has all come away, and after my scan this mon they said that there is a tiny amount of blood still in there and to go back when i have had a period for another scan, but past couple of days my boobs have started hurting again and ive just done a preg test and its positive!, im frightened to death incase the tiny bit of blood ive still got in my womb will harm this pregnancy! please help!!!!!!!!!

I had a missed miscarriage miscarriage 6 weeks ago - was 10 weeks when i found out and they said I'd lost the baby at 7 weeks - have done a pregnanacy test this morning and read "pregnant" within seconds. Off to the docs this afternoon to be referred to the EPU but worried I'm goign to be told off for not waiting untili had a period. Not sure how to feel - don't think we will be able to get excited until we get to 12 weeks and that seems such a long way away at the moment - esp not knowing when to count from -

Can anyone answer - do they count from when you had D&C?

Fingers crossed for everyone in the same boat - trying not to think about it but can see it being a sleepless 2 months. The thought of us having to go through that again does not bear thinking about x

hello there, i had a missed miscarriage 8 weeks ago, got to 11 weeks and started bleeding, found out next day that we had lost baby at about 9 weeks, was left to do things naturally all came away quite smoothly and as devasstated as we were we said we'd try again, and now less than 2 months later i'm pregnant again, i did have a period i think, but it was very light so cant say for sure, but like yourself really dont know how to feel, last time i felt good with no real symptoms, so unusually i'm hoping for that sicky feeling to kick in, i already have a 6 year old son from my previous marriage, so i know i can carry to term. i spoke to a friend of a friend a few weeks ago who had also had a missed miscarriage and she is now 25 weeks pregnant so hoping to have same luck, it is worrying and i know i'm going to be on tenderhooks until i know for sure everything will be ok, like you said i couldn't bear to go through that again, fingers crossed for you , me and everybody else out there feeling the same way, we just have to think positive!!!! take care and good luck xx nicola

HI. MISCARRIED THRU BLEEDING LAST JULY 27,2008. WHEN I ATTENDED EARLY PREGNANCY UNIT JULY 16, THEY REKON IT WAS A FAILURE. NO HEARTBEAT. BUT I THOUGHT I WAS ON MY EARLY PREGNANCY. THEY CHECK MY BLOODS AND ALL. I HAD SCANS EVERY WEEK. IM SO IRRREGULAR WITH MY PERIOD EVEN BEFORE THAT I DIDNT KNOW HOW MANY WEEKS PREGNANT I WAS THEN. MY FIRST POSITIVE PREG TEST WAS JUNE 19, 2008.
THEY SAID I WAS 8 WEEKS PREGNANT WHEN I MISCARRIED.
I DONT HAVE MY PERIOD YET SINCE.
BUT THEY ARE VERY IRREGULAR ANYWAYS.
I HAVENT DONE A PREG TEST YET.

i have been diagnosed with an incompetent cervix (IC) back in 2004 i have had three mid-trimester miscarriages at 21, 19, 17 weeks gestation (1 girl and two boys)my first pregnancy(2003) went well until 18weeks then my waters broke and was laid up in hospital until 21weeks when i went into labour, the second preganancy (2004) the doctors monitored me and couldnt explain what was wrong with me i felt a heavy feeling and went to the hosptal at 17weeks and again laid up for two weeks but later miscarried spontaniously. i was then diagnosed with IC & blood diorder (hetrozygos) and agreed with the doctor that i would be monitored from day one of the pregnancy. I fell pregnant third time and was scanned weekly, however at 16weeks my cervix had dialated to 3cm and a suture was to put in place. I went to theatreand was still 3cm the surgeon tried to put the suture in but my waters went and i had the baby that day. Now im pregnant again with my fourth pregnancy and was scanne from 5weeks and had regular swabs done to monitor infection. I was then took to theatre at 11:20 4th July 2008 and put to sleep to have the suture put in place. the procedure took 25mins with little blood loss and at that point i was 13weeks. today i am 15weeks and dont feel any different physically which is good! but i feel at ease that i have

I am 5 weeks after mc still have not had my monthly, kinda worried about how it is gonna be. Read a lot of horror stories about the first one.

hopefuuly it will be fine, i had my first period 4 weeks after my miscarriage, it was very light and not a twinge in sight, just found out pregnant again so body obviously did what it needed to!!! bit of a shock so soon but hoping all will be ok this time, don't worry sure it will be fine!!!

I had my first period after MC at nearly nine weeks. It wasn't that bad, had slightly worse cramp but that was it. So hopefully you'll be fine. We started trying again and I've started bleeding slightly yesterday and today not at all much though, however my period isn't due until 2nd sept, suppose we'll just need to wait and see. I don't understand why I;m bleeding half way through though. Does anyone else?

Hi, I had a missed mis carriage on 22May08, I was 11 weeks but was advised the baby died at around 6 weeks. I started bleeding lightly and finally passed it on 25th may. I bled lightly for about 7 days from the full on miscarriage. A few weeks ago I had VERY VERY light bleeding but only each morning for 3 days. I had a neg test on 19th June. Since then I have massive nipples (as before), cant sleep from about 4am (wake up for a wee, as before), head aches all day, and the worst thing is if i am not pregnant my stomach looks just as it did before (as i was showing alot very early) I went on a diet after last one and lost alot of the weight but now its back, My legs are so achey (as before) and I am tanning alot easier (as before) I feel a bit sick but not sure if this is worry.Not forgetting the lovely spots I have (which again i had before) Took a test on 30June Neg again! My other half reakons I am, think its cos of my fattness and moodiness. So I basically am sure I am, but worried that I am imagining this as i want it so much?

Hello, i had two miscarriages then got pregnant with my son and carried him full term with no problems. Im in the same situation again though as i had a miscarriage when i was 6 weeks pregnant and havent had a period since. Just did a pregnancy test and it has come back as positive so im abit confused. Hope it all works out for you. I know its hard but try to take it a day at a time.

i had miscarriage 5weeks ago did a test two weeks later came back negative we then started trying again i did a test yesterday and it was posative i was so excited went to see my docter but he said it could be my hormone levels still high from my miscarriage 5weeks ago they are going to take blood today then again on friday to see if my hormone levels are rising but untill then all i can do is wait its all i can think about so i thought if you were pregnant so soon after miscarriage there is HOPE for me

iya my symptoms seem 2 be fairly different im experiencing alot ov morning sickness etc compared 2 last pregnancy, im 8 weeks now and had a scan last week just 2 make sure everythin was fine and they were as we seen the heartbeat, id go 2 your docs and c wot they suggest xx
