"I have had my 1st miscarriage"
Posted by laura01083 13 June  at  21:10

I have had my first miscarriage and i am totally devastated. I didn't think i would be this upset as when the doctor told me i was like "oh o.k then" It wasn't till i got home and had time to think about it that i got upset. I was only 9 weeks pregnant but i feel so empty. The only thing getting me through this is my wonderful husband and my beautiful 11 month old son who i am truly lucky and blessed to have. It took 5 years of trying and fertility for my son but i fell pregnant within 2 months naturally 2nd time round. I have people telling me, oh it was only early days, better now than later. yes this is true but unless anyone has actually experienced it it's hard to imagine how one feels. I to be honest never understood how one felt to lose a baby as i have had friends and family lose one but now i understand and i feel so bloody awful for not giving more support to them.
Anyway am rabbling on now but i just had to get it off my chest. My husband doesn't mind me getting upset but i feel guilty for crying at least once or twice a day.
How long does it take to get over one or go through one. I am still bleeding 2 days on with really bad cramps. I have had blood tests and the doctor told me i had a complete miscarriage. Me not thinking straight never thought to ask what one of them is. Any advice and answers would be grateful

Thanks in advance
Laura
xx

"So heartbreaking..."

Miscarrying is so emotionally draining and so many just don't understand it.
Miscarriages themselves can take awhile, but if you doctor said that it was complete, then the miscarriage
has taken place.

I hope the doctor and the staff was kinder than mine. I overheard the doctor say, 'well she isn't going to die to she will have to wait like the rest of them" and then she kindly let me know that many 1st pregnancies end in miscarriage and that girls go on to have a baby just fine and anyway, the fetus was probably abnormal and that's why my body rejected it. Yeah, so it in other words to her, it wasn't a big deal, you'll get knocked up again and hey your body made some crappy and got rid of it. Yeah, I was a mess after that!

It'll take time, but the crying will lessen and even if it doesn't don't feel bad, you have a right to grieve regardless of how far along you are.

With Love...

"Im so sorry"

hey honey

im so sorry to hear of your m/c. i too m/c at 10 weeks 10 weeks ago and it still hurts it does get easier but i dont think it ever goes away, i will always remember my baby that got away.

i too have a two year old who i am blessed to have he was 10 weeks prem, but it doesnt take away the fact that i lost a baby.

a complete m/c means you dont need any further help from docs baby has completly gone naturally, some times you need an op to remove any thing that is not passed to reduce bad infection.

take your time honey let your self grieve and go thru the processes that your body needs to go thru. i still have really bad days where i cant stop crying but they getting further apart.

i bleed for exactly a week, but every m/c is different. pm me any time you want to chat, this forum has helped me sop mmuch!! the girls are great a real support like you say no one can understand till they have experienced it them selves

big hugs honey xxxxxx
