my story is very similar to your, have a 13 yr old daughter, by previous partner. have been trying for 4 years now and had my 7th miss in january. ive had my test, one showing sticky blood so i have to take asprin when get preggers, i have done this the last 4 pregnancy but still missed. my hospital is great and they have done another test on me which is still in research so dont think it is available, its for natural killer cells in the womb, and my test come back postitive. everyone has these cells as they fight of infection, but when you have to many in the womb the cells think the egg is a foriegn body and kill it off, this causing miscarriage. the treatment is steriods every day until after the birth. i have still miscarried after taking the steriods so i think its just a waiting game. one woman in the hospital had 12 m/c and carried full term on her 13th. dont give up, im still going, its very very hard but it only makes me want one more. take care x

Whole thread for the following message:
| Thread started by: | "I have had 7 miscarriages, currently 6 weeks pregnant with threatening signs of another miscarriage." Posted by hope4me 3 August at 04:12
Hi All,
I have been desperately searching for someone to be able to give me answers, knowledgeable facts and for some kind of help for my situation. I am a 31-year-old female from Ontario, Canada. 13 years ago, I conceived a child and my pregnancy was completely normal. I had no complications carrying to full term and no complications during delivery. Around 2 years later, still with the same partner we attempted to have another child. The pregnancy was unsuccessful and it ended up being my very first miscarriage. I ended up having five more miscarriages with the same partner throughout the years. Recently I have changed partners. I have had one miscarriage with my new partner and currently I am 6 weeks pregnant, threatening another miscarriage. A year ago, I started going to a fertility clinic where I have had several blood tests taken. I have had an HSG- Hysterosalpingogram. All the tests came back negative, meaning the tests were showing there is nothing wrong. I have had several beta blood tests in which they found my Progesterone levels might be low. I have been prescribed Progesterone suppositories, which need to be inserted vaginally on the 14th day of every cycle. I was to continue taking the progesterone suppositories until conception, carrying into pregnancy until I reached my first ultrasound. Presently I have been having beta blood tests done every two days to monitor my progesterone level. When Dr's office came in contact with me about my results they were telling me my progesterone level is going up but my level was still not where there goal was. Thursday, July 31st 2008 I had another beta blood test taken. Dr's office called me to let me know my progesterone level was starting to go down and my pregnancy has become a threat. Now I am unable to see my Dr. until August 11th, which is over a week away. I have seen so many Doctors; I have asked so many questions, I do a lot of my own research online. Everywhere I turn, it seems like I come to a dead end. I get the constant feeling of avoidance and people shifting the responsibility. I am now searching near and far for someone to take on my medical case and help me have a successful pregnancy. Does anyone have any idea's, suggestions? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Im not really wanting to give specific advice as Im no doctor but when i had 2 miscarraiges last year I started researching recurrent m/c's I also have two friends who have had recurrent m/c's and one freind has had problems with her blood, she now has to take warfarin and aspirin. Sticky blood or coagulation problems are a huge cause for recurrent m/c. I startdd taking aspirin when I tried to conceieve for a third time (baby tablets 75mg daily) and am now 17 weeks pg.
have they said anything about blood coagulation to you?.
I read a research paper about it and the results are brilliant with the right treatment, my friend is now 13 weeks and that was following 5 m/c's
I dont know if this is helpful at all, I wish you all the luck in the world, take care rach xx

I have to say , I'm amazed of your strength for going through so many miscarriages. I've just had my second (both 7 weeks and within 3 months) and I feel I don't ever wanna try again despite of how much I want a child. How have you managed to keep on trying? Apparently I won't get anything investigated until I've had another miscarriage and I'm trying to look for any information whether there is anything I can do to prevent next one. I'm sure that there is a problem with my hormone levels due PCOS.
