I lost my baby at 7 weeks (on the 10th July) however i only found out at 12 weeks. Like you I felt really alone until I found this website. the girls on here are amazing and i woudn't have got through it without out them. I like you had a brownish discharge which had started on the Wed. Scan on the Thurs and just left over the weekend with a leaflet on how to loose it ( if you know what I mean there is no nice way to say it) I had another Scan on the following Tues and took the first tablet on the following wed and lost the baby at home on the Thurs. I would advise you to rest and get your head around things. They told me it could take upto 8weeks to loose the baby naturally that is why I opted for the tablets so that I could get on with things and my husand and I could start trying again. You are not alone. If there is any questions you want answering just ask Take care hun C

Whole thread for the following message:
| Thread started by: | "Just found out yesterday ive had a missed miscarriage" Posted by pixieknickers 10 August at 11:31
Hi I went for a scan yesterday and my worst fears were confirmed, Id had a missed miscarriage, I was 7+6. I kind of knew something was wrong, Id been losing some browny discharge and i just had that worried feeling. I felt like my heart had been ripped out, I was on my own and it felt like the longest drive home ever!! I had a good cry and my partner was very supportive. Ive woken up this morning a little tearful, but also with this kind of angry and overwhelming feeling of 'i just want to get it out of my body', which i feel terrible for thinking. I really dont know what to do next as my scan was a private one, I dont even have a midwife yet to contact. I feel so isolated. What do I do? I tried calling my local epu, but they are closed until tomorrow. do i have to go through the doctors to get referred? or can i just call them tomorrow and they will see me? Im supposed to be off on my holidays this week and i cant imagine letting it happen while im miles away from home.

hey honey im so sorry to hear of your loss.i would get to docs or hosp just for some advice and support. i decided wit first m/c to have d and c but i passed baby day before i was due to go. this time i decided to wait and it actually passed afternoon after scan had told me baby had died. i totally get what you say bout just wanting it out i absoloutley hated the thought of baby still in me and awful as it is when ive passed both babys i felt relief that i could try and move on and deal with the m/c. i was told that because i was having pains and bleeding that i would pass naturally as it was already happening . take care of your self we are here to help and support you if you need us.you should get in touch with hosp as they should arrange a scan in few weeks to make sure your womb is empty sorry i know its not what you want to here but if not empty and you dont know you could get an infection
big hugs honey xxx

Hi Claire Thanks for your advice, Ive been reading your posts and didnt realise you had a loss so recently. I really appreciated your kind words and I went to A&E this morning. Im booked in for tomorrow morning at 8.30 for a D&C. How are you coping with things? I hope you have taken your own advice and have been taking care of yourself and resting. Thanks again for being there with advice, you have really helped.
Good luck and hugs back xxx donna

so sorry to hear your news, know how hard it is so don't be afraid to talk to us if it helps. As far as the EPU is concerned they're all different, some will let you just go yourself and some you need a doctor to refer you so can't really answer that one. It's worth ringing them tomorrow and asking though, if you can't just go yourself then get in with your doc (ask for an emergency appointment if need be) and they will refer you. Waiting times vary but they should see you within a few days, depends how busy they are but tell your doc about going away as that might speed things up. Know there's not much I can say hun but am here if you need someone, take care.
Lotsa love, Clare xxx

It really helps when you realise you are not alone. Ive posted on the expecting a baby forum a few times and like you say everyone is friendly and happy to help. I didn't think I'd be on the miscarriage forum quite so soon. Its hard to accept that there is no more baby when you still have a swollen tummy and your boobs are tender and you still feel sick. I'll try to bypass the doctors tomorrow and get straight onto the hospital. Its strange, Ive been losing this browny discharge for a few days and today, after yesterdays shock, there is nothing.
Thank you so much for your help and advice. I'll let you know how I get on
Take care
