"Multiple miscarriages?"
Posted by careyrunner 28 April  at  00:44

Wondering if anyone out there is in a situation where they have had more than one miscarriage in a row and then gone on to have a normal pregnancy?

Looking for some stories of hope to ease my fears after having 2 miscarriages my doctor assures me it is normal and my odds of having a normal pregnancy are good just wondering about others personal take on the issue.

Thanks

"Don't give up"

Mine is a very long story, this is a short version! It started in late 2001 when i found out I was pregnant for the second time. ( First ended in mc at 6wks ) When I got to the 20wk scan we found out our daughter was very ill and because she was suffering had no option but to end the pregnancy. I did not get pregnant again until 11mths later and eventually gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy big bouncing and healthy at almost 9lbs. We tried for a second child and I ended up having 4 mc in a row between 6 and 10wks. Finally in June 2006 I discovered I was pg for the 8th time. I was given a low dose of steroids for the first 24wks of the pregnancy and had lots of scans. I gave birth to a healthy baby boy in February 2007. My boys are so special to me and I feel sooooo lucky to have them. To say I have been through it emotionally would be an understatement. What I want to say is KEEP TRYING. Its so difficult when you are going through it, believe me I know. I have been to the depths of dispair but if you want it badly enough you will keep trying, you have a good chance of succeeding. I was told that most women experiencing recurrent miscarriage do eventually go on to have a baby, may just take a few mc to get there. Its amazing where you can find the strength from to keep going though> I wish you all so much luck and sticky baby dust. Bless you all -

I have also just experienced a second miscarriage and been reassured by numerous doctors that it is quite common and a third pregnancy could be sucessful.

Only thing is I'm absolutely terrified of getting pregnant again, in case I experience a third miscarriage!

Has anyone else felt like this, and also felt completely abandoned by Doctors etc.

My Mum had 2 miscarriages before going on to have me and my sister, both of us were healthy and born to term - my sister was actually 2 weeks late

All the best for the future, Im 9 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I still find myself worrying all the time

Hi

I had one miscarriage before having my daughter and since November I have had two more miscarriages. Touch wood I'm now pregnant again, probably only about 6 weeks but fingers crossed this one will work out ok.

My sister had several miscarriages before both her children, so stick on in there. There are lots of things that they can do to help should you miscarry again, but at least you are falling pregnant, hopefully this will keep you positive.

Let me know how you get on.

"Thanks"

I had my 1st mc aged 22 but went on to have my daughter 3 years later,i spent the entire pregnancy fretting but she was very healthy and is now 11 .i,ve had 2 mc in the last 2 years so know that it gets harder with each one.im 7 wks pregnant now and have had spotting twice so im having an early scan as i usually mc at 8 wks,I feel really scared because i dont want anyone to burst my pregnancy bubble and tell me anything is wrong.Either way i know i will cope and so will you, keep strong good luck.
