After having a d&c 3 weeks ago following a missed mc (9 weeks)all I can think about is when we can try again. I know it is best to wait for at least 1 period but I feel that we need to try now. If I did become pregnant would this increase the chance of another mc? My periods are so irregular that I dont want to wait! Please help because I dont no what to do for the best.

I had a miscarriage end of Nov last year. I waited until after my 1st period before trying again. I found out I was expecting again after my 2nd period in Jan. I am now nearly 19 wks pregnant, so far everythings ok.
I was told by my Dr to wait until after 3 periods, a nurse at the hospital said to wait until after my 1st period, so thats what I did, & hey presto.

When i had my first miscarriage i was told that yes if you lose the baby after 8 weeks that you should wait at least one full cycle before trying again. I asked my doc same question re: risk if choose not to wait. she indicated that yes there is a slightly higher chance of having another if get pregnant right away because your hormones and body is still in a bit of misarray. But there are also stories on here of people who have gotten pregnant very next month and been fine, you might want to post on expecting forum and find out of those who are now pregnant if anyone is in similar situation.
