i miscarried at 23 weeks last time.

So its very hard to relax at all and to be quite honest your not safe until the baby is born. I thought at 12 weeks it was ok to tell everyone but this time i wont be. I couldnt face having to tell everybody again that i lost the baby if anything were to happen.

But the tummy pains are normal. Like you say its your tummy stretching to accommodate your new baby. Its hard not to freak out at every twinge, but you will learn to love being pregnant and you just start to know whats a normal pain or not

Try and relax xxx

I am 5 weeks pregnant with my first baby and terrified of miscarrying. This is a much wanted child and every niggle is sending me into a panic. I know what the signs of miscarriage are but cant help being paranoid even when I know nothing is wrong!! I have period pains all the time and know that this can be normal but still worry! I have turned into a complete nervous paranoid wreck:> Im very tall and very slim and have a wee pot belly already. Have any of you shown a belly at this stage? :>

I am also 5 weeks pregnant & had a scan yesterday as I had pains in my right side. They showed me the sac but there was no heartbeat, apparantly you cannot detect one that early, is this correct?? I am beginning to worry so much. Also I am loosing brownish blood & they say that this is called Bedding in.... This is my first & I do not have a clue about what is going on. HELP!!!!!

Just wanted to reply I feel exactly the same, wish I hadn't found out so early that I was pregnant then maybe I wouldn't worry so much! Im just at day 35 today so still along way to go, everyone being really supportive esp my husband but he does think Im being slightly paranoid so Im glad Im not the only one getting worried bout miscarriage. I think half the time the little pains we feel normally we wouldn't even notice if we didn't know about the baby. Ive not got a belly yet but am definitely more bloated than usual. Take care, try not worry and be happy!

This is my second pregnancy. I misscarried at 23 weeks with my first pregnancy. It is so hard to relax this time especially. BUt yes i had a lot of pains early on and they meant nothing. I know everyone tells you to relax but its not that easy. But honestly you will feel lots of strange things going on but thats just normal, there are so many changes going on just now with your body its only normal to feel different. Jst try and relax and enjy being pregnant. You will start to feel better abot it soon and then you can enjoy yourself. Being pregnant is alovely feeling. So just try and relax xxxxx and i didnt notice any change in the size of my belly till about 10 weeks but then i am not tall and slim!!!

I found out 2 days ago I'm pregnant, and by my sums am only about 4-5 weeks too.

I had a miscarriage at the beginning of January, so it's still very raw still and very fresh in my mind and I'm also terrified of it happening again. I think it's normal for us to worry, but fingers crossed everything will be OK for us!!

I'm also getting a lot of tummy pains, a bit like period pains, and also a bit like a stitch (sharp and quick but in different places). I'm analysing these and getting a bit nervy but I hear that theres a lot of stretching and 'bedding in' that goes on in these weeks, so we're bound to get the odd twinge.

We can all bounce off each other on here for the next 8 months! hehe....

N xx

"Me also"
Posted by sweetnausea 27 June  at  23:04

Hi, I've known that I've been pregnant from about 3 weeks (the cramping and sore boobs gave it away). Doesn't the time between now and 12 weeks drag? I've already seen a naturopath and a homeopath to make sure that I'm doing everything right and my husband is getting me out of bed to run/shuffle around the park three times a week too. My new mantra is 'I'm doing this for the good of my baby'
and if it's not meant to be
then it's not meant to be
but: hold on little bean, hold on

I have had two miscarriage in 12 months. I went to a specialist and he said that because I am not regular with my cycle.. it had something to do with that.
I am also about 5 weeks right freaking out and hoping everything is going well inside of my belly. I am also already showing.. just a bump. Well, my clothes where getting small anyway because I have put on about 10-15 lbs just from not dieting and exercising like I should and then WHAM this so .. add those to two things together. I will be shopping soon. I get really big with my pregnancies. ... I have two babies already 5 and 6 years old

"Stop worrying it's not good for you or the baby!"
Posted by alleycat2 14 June  at  19:51

I worried about miscarriage for about the 1st 3 months and then I worried about late miscarriage until I was about 6 months. It never happened so i wrroied for nothing. So unless you have bleeding or severe cramping and pain I would say relax! It's not good for you or the baby too stress. I know it's easier said then done, but try your best. That is what I did. Try to get yourself into a project. I decorated the baby's room.
"Don't worry"
Posted by sammy6415 23 January  at  12:32

I wouldn't worry too much. If you are healthy and rest as much as you can you should be fine. The more you worry the more stress is on the baby. Try to relax and enjoy it. If you are worried have regular check ups.
