hi,in 2005 i fell pregnant only to find out i was having an ectopic pregnancy.i had an operation to remove it and lost my tube inthe process.six months later i was pregnant again ,because of the ectopic i had a scan at six weeks to see if it was in the right place.it was and as small as it was it had a heart beat.at eight weeks i started to bleed wich resulted in a misscarage.to me it was worse than the ectopic cos i had seen the heart beat.i found out last week i was pregnant again and was over the moon i thought it cant happen again.sure enough i am currently having another misscarage this time at only 5 weeks.if any one has had simlar things happen pleas contact me and chat thanks kellsbells.

I know how you feel i had an ectopic in 2005 which was bad it ruptured and lost a tube also the right one that seems common, weird. I then miscarried in march this year and i agree that was so much worse than the ectopic because the time i first got pregnant we couldnt really have coped with a baby and it was accidental, this time wed planned it and wanted the baby so bad and to lose it that way was awful the ectopic i went in had surgery it was gone, miscarriage i wasnt prepared for.I had a feeling it would happen as my mum and both grand mothers had had a miscarriage. Im now pregnant again i had one period in between and im about 5 weeks now. Im terrified. Im away from home and my doctors im scared firstly its in my tube and i really dont want to nearly die again and then secondly if i lose it and im here yet again. Either way im wont be able to relax for about 2 months. Feel free to get in touch any time its good to chat with people whove been through the same thing

I know how you feel, since 2002 I have suffered 4 miscarriages & an ectopic pregnancy where my right tube was removed. Hubby & I decided to adopt and were going through the process when in February I found I was pregnant again. We prepared ourselves for more of the same, but today I am siting here 17 weeks pregnant & not daring to believe it.

I wish I knew why we had had the problems, I know pregnancy loss is a really hard thing to get through. I have been taking aspirin this pregnancy, it is the only thing I have done differently.

Ask your doctor for tests to see why the miscarriages have happened, they may be able to prescribe something next time.

When you are ready, try again, and don't give up x

I just had my first Miscarriage last Friday and was in pain for almost 5 hours and lost a lot of blood. I have a 4 year old and when the doctor told that it was a bad pregnancy and more then likely I was going to have a miscarriage. Of course like everyone I wanted to get a second advance and I did to find out the same news. Trying to move forward but really hard sometimes I still have some fluid in the uterus so the doctor doesn't want to do a D&C since most of the stuff has already passed through. He is hoping that this fluid will do the same. So I just can't wait until this nightmare is all over. Even though the doctor said we could still get pregnant again you have that fear inside of you if it could happen again.

Best luck to everyone that goes through these situations.

a few words to you.
I had an ectopic and a tube removed 2yrs ago.this weekend had a miscarrige at 11weeks.heart broken/despair are all i feel right now.
I too was scanned at 6 weeks to make sure the baby was'in the womb' this time..
I wish there were answers to'why' rather than 'just one of those things'
found this site on the net and realised there are many more like you and I.As the 'aftercare' from the hospital/midwifes etc is totaly non exsistant.just a number, just another baby lost.
thanks.

Hi Kellsbells - I can completely sympathise with your situation as I too have also had an ectopic and 2 miscarriages. My last miscarriage was at the end of April this year. We had already had one scan (checking it was in the correct place) at 8 weeks and had the excitement of seeing a heartbeat. The doctors said everything was fine/normal and I didn't need to come back until the normal 12-week scan was due. At 13 and half weeks, the scan showed the baby had died at 11 weeks and 6 days. Needless to say we were both devastated. I couldn't believe it was happening again!

Our hospital have been great we have been to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and had a scan and blood tests. All if fine with the scan and we are still waiting for our blood tests results. However, they have said that the best conclusion is that the entire tests come back as 'normal'. Have you been referred to a miscarriage clinic?

It's amazing how many people have had a miscarriage; the sats show it's 1 in 4 woman. One of my friends who has had 3 miscarriages and it was 4th time luck and they now have a baby boy! She went privately to see Professor Lesley Regan at St Mary's hospital in Paddington, London. She runs a miscarriage clinic and found it really helpful. Once we get our results back we may look into seeing her?!

Unfortunately I don't have any fancy advise, just keep going and make sure you talk about it when you need to. Make some special time for you and your husband. Go on holiday or have a weekend away, just take some time out for just you 2! We will both get there Kellsbells. Good luck!! MrsL xx

hi,

i had a friend who had the same as you, she actually ended up having 3 miscarriages and they then discovered that she had a polystic ovarie, she was then given some tablets to take that settled her hormone levels and she then went on to go full term.

I also had a miscarriage after seeing the babys heartbeat during a scan and i understand how you feel when you say that it made you feel worse, i literally had the scan in the hospital where all seemed fine and went home to bed for a couple of hours then miscarried.

we ar trying again now and i am terrified it will happen again.
