Hi there, I miscarried at 7 weeks on 17 May - so it is now 4 1/2 weeks since then. Can anyone tell me how long they had to wait after a miscarry for their first period? I am desperate to start trying again, and this waiting is awful. thank you

Glad it finally came. It feels like forever waiting. Glad you are feeling more confident, that is just how I felt. I could actually do something by trying again.

Thank you - I am 42 so feel like I am running out of time. It's strange I was a bit uncertain and shell shocked when I fell last time, but it just feels so right now - all the doubts have disappeared. I just hope it happens soon.good luck to you too

My period came at last - 5 weeks after my miscarriage. I have been taking lots more care of myself, folic acid, less alcohol, etc so am feeling more confident and ready to try againg. Fingers crossed x

I miscarried at the beg of may at 10 weeks and had a d&c the week later. I posted a similar message on the forum as I was desperate to start trying again. My period started 2 weeks ago, exactly 5 weeks after my d&c. I don't no how I got there as we really wanted to start trying straight away. It is very hard as I felt I was counting days to when it may start. I feel all the better for waiting for my cycle to continue and have given myself time to recover. I just couldn't think that at the time. Don't worry, it will come soon and you will feel so much better that you will have waited.

I miscarried last Nov at 11 weeks. After having a D&C operation I bled for a couple of weeks then had a couple of weeks before my 1st period, to be exact it was 4 1/2 weeks later ( just checked calender !)
I hope this helps, & good luck in trying again. I tried for 18months before getting pregnant & then miscarrying, I am now 22 weeks pregnant, I only had 2 shorter than normal periods before getting caught again, so it can happen.

hi, i had a miscarrige and dnc 5 weeks ago today at 10 weeks pregnant, i hadnt had period yet just spotting and tiny bleeds every now and then, i took a pregnancy test yesterday which was positive so i am now confused, i dont no if it could just be hcg hormone from the miscarrige or whether its a new pregnancy and i am now worried because i am spotting and having tiny bleeds, no one seems to be able to tell me anything and its far to early to be scanned, can anyone help x
