I had my second miscarriage on the 6th July it endedon the 9th July, I ovulated on the 16th July and I had my first period on the 30th July, it ended yesterday. It was a shock to get back to normal so quickly. Last year my miscarriage took 2 weeks, I ended up in hospital and it took 6 weeks for my period to come back after I had finished bleeding from the miscarriage.

I read that your period should come back within 4 - 6 weeks after your miscarriage on average. I guess it depends on how your body deals with things after losing the baby.

I hope this helps a little. Good luck and hugs to all of you.

Hi Sarah,

I am wondering the same thing!!

Been trying to get pregnant for past 4 months and I miscarried 2 weeks ago. I keep a diary of my periods and ovulation and would have been due on Mon. I hate not knowing when my next one is due as you feel in limbo.

I have had some discharge and pains on left side which I thought could be ovulation but when I had done the test sticks they have been neg.

To be honest I was hoping to get caught again straight away but not hopeful.

Hopefully someone can give us the answer and I wish you luck with getting pregnant again soon. Hopefully next time will be fine for the both of us.

Take care

Hiya

I lost a baby in june this year and still haven't had a period. I assumed this was normal. I know what you mean, you want to have a period to feel normal again.

It was complicated me losing the baby and I had to have a drug called methotrexate which means we can't try for three more months (roll on september 27th!).

It's still feeling quite raw, but I don't know if thats just me being soft though. i'd be interested in knowing what other people in this situation feel.

Look after yourselves.

sorry to here about how hard youve had it, my miscarriage was fairly simple, two weeks of on and off spotting and that was it.
Its confusing the way it makes you feel, theres apart of me that doesnt want my period to come because that might mean im pregnant again and then another part that wants it to hurry up and come so we can get pregnant again
