Hi Everyone,
I found this forum via google, I suppose im just looking for some advice / to hear from people that have been in the same situation as me, I had my first appointment at the hospital last monday - bloods, scan etc, I was 10 weeks + 6 days pregnant, the pregnancy was not planned, Ive been taking the pill for two years now and have no idea why it has failed. From the minute I found out I was addiment on a termination, Im still young and in no position to bring a child into the world, my partner has been very supportive since finding out. I am to have a medical abortion - the hospital im at will only perform surgical terminations upto 11 weeks, I will be 12 weeks exactly by the time I go in on Wednesday, I have my first tablet on tomorrow, and then in first thing on Wednesday for the rest of the treatment. ( 4 lots of tablets )
Has anyone else had a medical termination this far gone / more ? What was it like ?
Thanks in advance for reading my post.

12 weeks and your baby is fully formed, your morning sickness is over and all your child will have to do is grow bigger and stronger. I know you are in a bit of a panic right now, but there are more positive options out there than swallowing that tablet tomorrow, because that is effectively when you will be aborting your child.
From monitoring this website for the past 9 months or so, Id say the medical way is the most traumatic for the mother. You are literally going to be flushing your child down the loo, and you will be fully awake and aware, and when you pass your 'pregnancy' (baby) it wont be that small. The baby will be about 7 or 8 cm, or 3.5 inches so that will be a rather large 'clot'.
I dont want to send you into a spin, and I am not trying to be nasty, and maybe this is even more information that what you asked for, but if you have a supportive partner who is the father of this child, then maybe he can support you for another 6 months or so, and ye can then decide what is best for all three of ye.
Have a look for some inspiration.

while there are unwanted pregnancies, there are no unwanted children....
There is loads of help out there for you to have your child, it is just there for the asking.
