Hi, this happened to my sister, she found she was pregnant yet they couldnt see a sac or baby.........they left her for a few weeks, next time she went they found the baby and she gave birth to a lovely baby girl last month. I wish you all the best with your situation. I got steralized 3years ago and have just found out i might be pregnant and if i am then its likely to be eptopic..........i hope if i am pregnant that its not eptopic though!!........

"No need to worry yet..." Posted by matelko 6 May at 17:41
Hi there. I am sorry to hear about the mc you have had. It probably makes you very ancious now, and worried wether everythink is going to be OK this time. I have not got any experience myself on mc or ectopic. Unfortunatelly I can not EVEN get pregnant (for no reason) myself. But at least you now know that you CAN get pregnant, which is a great achievament (in my infertility world). Chances that you will go through mc an then ectopic are extremelly slim. Just listen to your Dr. and relax. If they are not panicking yet, you do not panic neighter. It just might be too too early to see the baby on the scan. Theese should be your happy days, days of joy, so try to keep yourselves bssy and do not think negative. Make yourselve believe that everythink is OK. Be patient, you will find out soon how your little, beautifull baby is. By stressing - you are not helping. Best wishes to you both...

"Feeling more pregnant" Posted by kelmac80 7 May at 01:15
Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. Over the last couple of days I have been worrying myself sick so I decided to do another preg test just to make sure that I was still pregnant and of course it was still positive. I woke up this morning with tender breasts which is the first sign so far that I am pregnant ( or getting my period which isnt possible since I'm pregnant ) so with the test and that I'm starting to calm down. I have a follow up app with my doctor on Wednesday so hopefully she will put me more at ease with this all. Thanks again for replying, it really did make me feel alot better.

"Hi" Posted by kelmac80 11 May at 13:01
Would you believe it got the better of me so I called my doctor on Tuesday. He advised that my hcg levels is showing that I'm 4 weeks pregnant but he hadnt received my scan results at this time. He then told me that I should wait 1 week to repeat the tests again to see that my levels have risen and that maybe we could see the baby this time. It may have been too early to see anything but he isnt ruling out the fact that the baby could be in the tube. I have an appointment on Monday. I will def let you know if the news is good or not.

Don't know if this helps, but they say you can't see a huge amount on a scan before 6 weeks. If you hormones a rising, i'm sure everything is fine xx

I went to my GP on Monday to be advised to do further hcg tests. I called her back this morning to get the results and she advised that my levels were doubling so all good to go have another scan... and would you believe that we got to see a lovely sac with what looks like a faint shadow of a baby. You could even see it's little heart beat flickering away. She advised that I was 6 weeks pregnant. Soooo happy now that I can actually say to myself that I am pregnant. Fingers and everything else crossed that this little one stays right were it is. Thanks to all for your encouraging words, you have all been wonderful and best of luck to all as well...

"Diagnosed today" Posted by becs3 15 March at 01:46
Scared and in pain...
Got diagnosed with an ectopic 4 week pregnancy today, I'm on the pill - it came as quite a shock.
Got sent straight to my hospital by my GP, I had a scan and transabdominal ultrasound (camera inside), all very stressful, it was somewhere near my ovary - difficult to tell.
I've had a period for six weeks - it's quite heav now... the doctors didn't seem too concerned.
I had 4 lots of blood taken and they said that one of the hormone levels was very low...69, as opposed to the usual pregnancy levels of "14,000".
So - pregnancy test said I'm pegnant, blood tests say I'm a little bit pregnant, there was an 'Adnexal Mass' - and the diagnosis was 'Early Pregnancy failure'
However - it's still there, I'm still bleeding and in quite a lot of pain, I'm to go back in ten days for follow up, I've been given no pain-killers, and told to go to A&E if I faint or get severe pain...
I feel a bit confused as I've just been reading online about rupture and how I can die from that...
I'm so scared.
Any advice?

"I know what you are going through" Posted by karen2818 5 May at 17:59
I had an ectopic pregnancy quite a few years ago so i understand what you are going through, i too bled for about 6 weeks until they investigated i hadn't done a pregnancy test as i didnt think it was nessesary as i was bleeding.. i was initally treated for appendicitis until they did the pregnancy test ... then the same scenario as you scans, blood tests internal scans ... all sorts of poking and prodding went on .. and then when they found o evidence of a baby they sent me home *to wait* i either had to come back to the antenatal clinic the following thursday (it was a saturday night) or come straight back if i got a very sharp intense pain or a very severe pain in my shoulder.. as at the time i was having more of a dull achey pain in my right side, as you know ectopic pregnancies can be life threatening.. i ended up collapsing on the kitchen floor next day at around teatime .. the next ting i new i was coming around after anasthetic, they had removed the baby turned out it had been growing really low down in my tube so it was difficult to see... my advice to you my friend Do not allow them to bully you, tell them you want it sorted out and sorted out asap, an ectopic will never ever be a viable pregnancy... go back to your gp and insist a thorough investigation.
i hope all goes well for you ..
