I am normally regular but my period is now 5 days late. Husband and I have made love without contraception a few times in the last few weeks. I have had 4 days of period-like cramps but no period itself. I did a home pregnancy test this morning - it was negative. A bit confused...am I pregnant or just ill?

You may not be pregnant, alot of things can make a woman miss her period. Stress or a big life change can be the biggest reasons for a missed period without pregnance. Or you are pregnant and it is just to early for the test to pick up on your hcg hormone levels. My suggustion to you would be if you dont start in a week take another test and if you get another Nefitive I would get ahold of your doctor to find out why you are missed your periods. Good Luck

I am 4 days late and im having the same problem... it happened during my ovulation time so i had like a week to start and i never did its been about a week and a half and i took two test and both negative but i have cramps on and off... so do you think i should wait a week or two more to see if im just late?

I was diagnosed with polycyctic ovarian syndrome last year, I have been on metformin for about 6mths, Me and my husband are also trying for a baby with the approvel of my docter. I have sore breasts at the moment and have a pregnancy test and the results were negative, I have missed a period aswell, can someone please give me some advice....could i still be pregnant?

I am now 4 days late and have been having period-like cramps too - but maybe a little lighter cramps than usual. My husband and I have also made love a few times without contraception. I did a home pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative but my period still hasn't started. My breasts were really sore and ichy for a couple of days when my period was due but just feel normal now. I felt a bit sick this morning too, but I'm not sure whether I was just imagining that. I think I am going to test again tomorrow and see what it says as normally my periods are quite regular. I hope you get the result you are hoping for.

My test was negative the first time and positive the next two times. Period like cramps seem to be normal in early pregnancy according to some messages - which was a relief for me as I have had pains in my side and stomach. It may be worth trying another test in a few days if your period does not arrive.

Just wondering what happened? I have had the same symptoms, but only went off the pill last month. This would mean I went off and got pregnant the next week! Possible, but it took 6 months last time. I had cramps for about 5 days and very sensitive npls. It all went away and I was due two days ago. All tests so far have been negative! (But I had 3 negative tests after I was due and WAS preg.) Hope you got the news you wanted!

I'm 27 and my partner and I recently (about 3 weeks ago!) decided that we'd try for a baby. My period is due but hasn't appeared yet and i've had cramps for the last 3 days.

My bbs are sore and partner says slightly more swollen than normal! Also, my appetite seems to have increased quite a bit.

I've been putting all this down to my period starting but as it hasn't appeared yet, i'm now not so sure. What are the chances of getting pregnant the first time you try to concieve?!

Hi I recently came off the pill and only had unprotected sex for the last month and much to my surprise while having a blood test done for a kidney infection found out i am pregnant while the home test was negative last week and a faint line today i am only 2 days late for my period. Hi there, Ive been trying for a month since the last day of my period. Im now 2 days over my period due date. Ive done a test and its negative! Im having cramps as well, but only slight. i stopped the pill in july to start trying for a baby. i was on the pill for 5 years previously as i have polycystic ovaries. since stopping the pill i have had regular periods, ie coming on at day 29 or 30 each month until this month. i was due on 10 days ago and have had no period as yet. i have stomach cramps and feel sick, although havent been sick. my breasts are not particulary tender either. i have felt like im guna have a period for the past 2 weeks but just havent been on. i have done pregnancy over the counter tests but they are negative and ive been to the doctor who said wait and see when you come on your period. could i still be pregnant as the test is negative?? i also know that with my
