hey, i'm 16 too and i'm 13 stone.
why don't you try getting the wii fit? it actually helps!
me and my mum said we would go on for a hour everynight! i done this for two weeks and i lost 4 pounds. but i stopped going on the wii, because i was every night. and now i've probably put on 4 more pounds.
the only problem with obesity is eating too much;

Breakfast, have a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a big bown of cereal with low fat milk, or beans on toast.? DONT SKIP A BREAKFAST!

lunch: a jumbo sandwich with lean meat (or tuna), cucumber, tomato, onion, sweetcorn and anything else you can fit into it. just go easy on the fatty spread and mayo. If you can manage two of these sandwiches, so much the better. for dessert, have a low-fat yogurt or similar. Diet drinks are okay, but water is best

Dinner. Lots of potatoes and vegetables with any lean meat or fish. For dessert, any fruit (including canned fruit), with low-fat yogurt or a dollop of low-fat ice-cream

Daily snacks. Eat sandwiches, low-fat yogurts, toast and jelly (jam), or bowls of cereal. But avoid high-fat foods like cookies, candy or cakes. Low-fat milk or water are the best drinks.

and don't forget to do some excerise. whether its a sport or walking.
i walk 20 mins nearlly every day and i'm still not skinny, but my problem is i eat to much and my eating pattern is wrong.

eat the right food and walk for a good 20 mins, your'll soon be skinny than ever. (:

Hi everyone, My wife, Lyn, and I have been over weight for a few years due to more than one reason and we've tried all sorts of diets and fads which haven't worked long term. We started using nutritional health supplements about one month ago and we've both lost half a stone, reduced our appetite and gained energy. We are really encouraged by the overall results and would recommend them to everyone!!! I am Type 2 Diabetic and haven't been able to get my blood sugar levels down to an acceptable level for more than 2 years. Since starting the supplements I now check my levels on a daily basis and see they are constantly (every day)within the normal levels - how amazing! I'm going to tell my doctor this week just to watch his face as he wanted to put me on Insulin 4 months ago. If I can help in any way I can be contacted at crcac@btinternet.com or Skype me at careylyn for more details. Regards Carey

dear bubblybabe
I too suffer with obesity.....I am not in your age bracket , but I've found that the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to have a close friend as a diet and exercise buddy.....a person really needs a strong support system to help them achieve their goals.....God bless and good luck........Sincerely, Concerned from America
"A few suggestions"

My heart goes out to you. It sounds like your overeating may be an emotional response to negative things happening in your life. You seem to be eating for "comfort." Here are some things that might help you modify this vicious cycle.

First, overweight people must weight themselves daily. If you've been cheating with too much food and you see the scale going up (even one pound), an alarm should go off in your head to put on the breaks. The first day that you see the weight creeping up, tell yourself you don't want to get any fatter and make a committment for that day to substitute lower calorie snacks and eat more protein. You can do this one day at a time. Also, make sure YOU DON'T BRING HOME ice cream, cake, candy, cookies, donuts, french fries and sugary drinks. THESE THINGS CANNOT BE IN THE HOUSE. Stay away from all vending machines! You are a food addict and you need to see it the way it is. Snack on carrots, celery, cheese and crackers, meat(tuna, turkey, etc.) and crackers, hard boiled eggs, fruit and healthier things. Have plenty of these foods around the house ready to eat when you get home from school. Be strong about this and make a committment to really work at it. Sticking with it will probably be the most difficult thing you will ever do in your life, but also the most rewarding. Convince your family to support you in your efforts. If your parents are also obese, work together as a family to buy healthier foods. You probably don't do the grocery shopping in your family, so it's critical to get the support of your family in buying healthier foods.
Good Luck to You....May the force be with you!

Last month of November I visited a centre with an Italian group of Friends and we both buy some of their products.

I bought their N. 11 (capsules and cream) and I'm very satisfied of the results. Id like to share my happiness with all of you. And l am trying their herbal tea now; it has a good effects also.
My mail is psp-ae86@hotmail.com.

I'm very truly yours

Hey bubblybabe,
I crossed the line from a little on the chubby side to substantially overweight when I was 15-16. I've found since I got to uni its been a lot easier to keep the weight down - its true what they say about dieting beginning in the supermarket. Do your parents know you're uncomfortable with your weight? Would they be supportive of you trying to lose some? Perhaps its worth talking to them about only keeping healthier food available in the house - if you only have access to certain foods theres only so much weight you can really gain. Now that I don't have pizzas, chips, crisps, chocolate, bread and so on around me, I just don't feel the need to eat them, which really has helped enormously. The other tip that I always rolled my eyes at but have recently realised is really effective is drinking loads of water. It just reduces my appetite. For me those two basic tips along with plenty of walking (I cant stick the gym myself) is far more effective than yoyo dieting. That said however, if you are genuinely obese perhaps you should consider making an appointment with your GP? S/hell be able to advise you on how to safely and effectively sort out your diet and exercise.
The most important though is to keep your self-respect and self-esteem up. When you don't like yourself you don't treat yourself well. You are a person because of qualities beyond your dress size and if other people can't see that then thats their loss. Make sure to surround yourself with supportive people. I used to think that I could use my hatred of my body to spur myself on, but the worse I felt about myself the more I comfort ate. Try to spend time each day focussing on your good qualities just to encourage yourself. Itll remind you that you are worth taking the time and energy over and why you want to get healthier.
Take care of yourself, very best of luck. If you need more support and encouragement you are very welcome to message me. Im in the market for a diet buddy anyway.

Hi, I seen you answering someones question earlier this year and you were sooo supportive!!

I am a 16 year old girl and am a bit overweight! (size 16 UK, 5ft 9" and 14 stone!)

You mentioned that you lost a lot of weight when you were my age, could you please help me lose some?? Give me some tips on how you did it please, I really need some support because I know this is going to be so hard to do.. I'm a bit too embarressed to go to the gym or public swimming pool.. is there any other exercise I could do that you can think off??

I don't do any at the minute and I know I will really need to! I would really love to lose weight before I go back to school, my goal is to be 10 or 11 stone and a size 10-12 (UK)! I just need someone who knows what they are talking about from past experience to talk to me and support me through my weight loss regime!!

Please help!!

I can't believe you have had no responses! i've stepped back because i have only been big onc, after my kid but I remember how hard it was to get back to the old size again and to be honest i still don't have a waist. anyway I think the first thing you need to do is get your head straight. It is really geting you down...have you spoken to your GP? they have short term anti-depressants(non adictive - my sister had them) that can help you get calm and motivated. you eat for comfort. I think you need to be around people who can understand your feelings. And teach you a few swift comeback comments. Some people to call, who know that now is the best time ever to do something about it.At 16 your motivation is on the floor..you need help, you deserve it, and you are SO worth it.You don't have to take your mum with you...go and see your Gp, adn if possible ask to see a lady, adn ask for all the medical checks - you mught have a thyroid problem which can be fixed.
Big supportive undertanding Mumzie hug...come back & tell me what is happening ...please
