i've been having sex with my bf for 1 and a half years now but since xmas sex has really started to hurt, i dont bleed or anything but it's to the point where we have to stuff. It's like a burning feeling, chaffing almost - it hurts to pee afterwards but not any other time. it's really started to ruin it...anyone have any advice?

I have had the same problem.
Me and my boyfriend have been having sex for about 8 months, and it was fine until about 4 months ago.
I have been given loads of different antibiotics incase it was an infection, but it wasnt.
I had a smear test, and nothing was wrong there.
they also tested me for STI's, which I didnt have.
I was telling someone at work about the problem and they suggested that it could be the contaceptive pill which is causing it. So i stopped taking it, and funnily enough the problems have gone away.
If your on the pill, try not taking it for a week or two and see if that helps.
Hope you sort it out soon cos I know what its like, and I would have done anything to stop it happening.

hi there, because its more a recent thing, i would suggest you go and see your gp. i dont know whether you've had a smear test lately, but i'd definately advise it. the sooner you get it sorted, the easier it will be to treat it. it could just be an infection such as thrush, or cystitis, but id get a docs advice just to be sure. there are many std's also that could pose these symptoms, but obviously you will know yourself if this could be the problem. if you are worried about talking to your doctor, you could go to a sexual health clinic. hope this helps hunni. good luck
