Hi
I am new to posting on forums so please bear with me! I just need a bit of advice from you guys, I have just been given a new precription for another type of 'pill' (whooppee), this will now be my 5th attempt at finding a pill that suites me! As others I have have had dramatic side effects (aggressive, emotional, constant bleeding etc) Has anyone been on the pill cilest as this is the one I am due to start taking, I have read really bad things about it? So far I have tried, Ovranette, microgynon 30, marvelon and femodene so far. This seems like an impossible task.
I think if this one doesn't suite me I just want to come off the pill, how effective have people found just using condoms? I know they can be a passion killer but the other alternatives arent right for me i.e the implant and the depo due to side effects my GP doesnt want me to go on them. Me and my partner would like to start trying for kids in the next couple of years (ideally).
Sorry its a little long winded.
Thanks in advance

I messed around with pills for a long time until i found one that suited-its called Yasminelle and its fantastic! I had severe side effects from all the others i tried-Microlite, Cilten & Something beginning with P, but this is fantastic-i told my friends bout it and its workin great for all them as well-the only downfall is that its slightly more expensive than the others-well worth it though!

With a number of birth control options at hand sex partners should be aware of the pros and cons of each alternative. There are some birth control methods that require no prescription and there are some that should not be used without prescription. It is necessary to educate yourself about the various alternatives. The pill is one of the commonly used alternatives that require a doctors prescription....

I have been on Cilest for about a year now and have not experienced any side effects since changing, I have had some issues on other pills, bleeding, mood swings, depression and although the bleeding issues are still here - they are being resolved and are not necessarily linked to the pill- I havent had any problems with it. I had microgynon before and it made me crazy with mood swings and I have tried about 7 other types the best I found was Minulet but I think it has now been discontinued, Cilest was definitely number 2. Hope it works out for you x
