Bleaching hair

after years of wanting natural healthy hair, i want to destroy my hair again. it's quite long and the ends have left over red dye from god knows how long ago. i want to bleach my hair at home and am not sure of how to get out that copper tone which will arise once i bleach my locks. is there some type of product i can use to eventually even my entire hair color out to a basic platinum?
