"Natural organic skincare"
Posted by sarah11000 26 June  at  01:26

I will recommend you to use natural organic skincare products. I have been using a product range for oily skin from www.henrytianus.com for about 2 months and am very very pleased with the result. I use their Bilberry Cleansing Gel, Hazel Mint Toner and Antioxidant Purifying Cream. Also I use tea tree oil whenever I get spot on my face or body. Also try to eat Pumpkin Seed and Brazil nut regularly as they are rich in selenium and zinc that helps to improve acne prone skin. Again choose the organic ones as they do not contain any harsh chemical that can be harmful to your health and skin. Hope it helps!

"What really works on spots?"
Posted by chloe563 15 November  at  11:52

I am 26, so hardly a teenager, but my skin is aweful at the moment. I put it down partially to the fact that I have recently come off the pill, but still, it is really annoying. I'd be interested if anyone could recommend me a product which really works

"Good advice"

I would recommend a good skin care routine, cleanse, exfoliate, toner and moisturiser. I use the Simple range because it doesnt have alcohol in them and uses natural ingredients. Its really helped clear and shrink my pores my skin looks fab, i have combination skin and have the odd spot from time to time but not anymore.

Also loads of people swear by olive oil, it cleanse the pores and leaves a lovely soft touch and protects the skin. About 5 drops put on after cleansing will help, leave for 5 mins and blot with a warm damp flannel and in a few days you will notice a great result.

if you have large outbreaks this may be the best option as exfoliation may aggravate the area and hurt.

Hope it helps
"What works"

If you have one or two occasional spots I find that putting TCP on with a cotton bud before you go to bed really does the trick as it dries the spot out, if you havent attempted to pop the spot or the break the skin this should not sting. If you really cant stand the smell then try toothpaste.
"Clearing up your skin."

Here's what works for me. I know how you feel. I had the same problems. I had breakouts from time to time. I tried to hide the blemishes and spots with makeup.

Your makeup is probably making your skin worse. I searched and searched.. trying everything! nothing worked. I heard about mineral makeup and made the switch. I tried a few companies but they were all too expensive or the service was horrible.

I eventually found Elegant Minerals Makeup. They offer sample kits for 1 cent. I got 4 foundation colours in 1 kit.

I think I found out about em in a womens health magazine.

to cover your spots, just mix a little water with the mineral foundation powder. then tap it right onto the spot and blend it in... it'll stay all day. the more often you use the natural makeup, the better your skin will get.

Cheers!
"Honey and lemonade"
Posted by womentobeauty 3 June  at  02:23

I've the acne on face since I was teenager. Until now I'm 20's and still have acne on my face. I think the main cause of my acne is that I always touch my face with my hand while I'm thinking or reading. It's a bad habit.

Anyway, I often mix honey and lemonade (ratio 1:1) It's a kind of home-made facial mask. Lemonade has an acid to heal skin and honey can smooth skin.

And here you can read more about the skin care tips.

"This works on spots."

Differen gel from a dermatologist or doctor really works. However I have found that Clean & Clear Maximum Strength Persa-Gel 10 works really well. It comes in a little white tube in the cosmetic section. I put it on a bump every time I first see it appear. I also put it over the whole area that generally gets infected area (chin, cheek, forehead, ect.) every once in a while for good measure. But don't putt it all over the area to often or your skin will get dry and you will have to deal with flaky itchy skin. Hopes this helps. It works for me.
"Antibiotics"
Posted by mellyjane 16 February  at  21:48

I have suffered with bad skin since I was a teenager and altough some products can work if you have a couple of spots here and there, (I find Quinoderm really good-it dries spots right out)to really eliminate outbreaks it may be neccessary to go to the doctors and get either some tetracycline or erythromycin. They take about a month to kick in but antibiotics are definately the most effective way of eliminating the bloody things!
""secret to spots!""
Posted by gorgeous55 9 January  at  14:34

Lemon juice is known to be extremely helpful to prevent and help "zap" them. after cleansing your face just use a cotton wool bud or tissue and dab it on!

Good Luck,

"Clean & clear"
Posted by xxdawnxx 21 October  at  21:34

I know this is abit late to reply but hopefully you'll still read it. Im 16 and still get lots of spots but now i use clean and clear, i use the cream wash, its in a blue and green tube and you put it on and wait a few seconds until it tingles on your skin then wash it off and now i hardly ever get spots. But my mam sometimes gets a few spots and it was her that bought it for herself and it works with her so its not only good for teenagers. hope ive helped x

"Inner balance"
Posted by kankalin 18 December  at  11:09

Hiya, I posted a message below "where to buy alverde" in it you can see, I found that balancing the hormones internally works best. Talk to a herbalist, Agnus Castus worked wonders for me!
"Tea tree"
Posted by tuggyl 6 September  at  21:17

I find Tea Tree really good on spots you can buy it neat really cheap in most places like superdrug etc. I also use a Tea Tree concealer, it is by W7 cosmetics, (not heard of them before but it is very good), I found it on a website www.allureamour.co.uk it was cheap as well!
"Miessence chemical free skin care"
Posted by aussieorganicsrus 2 August  at  08:51

For clear beautiful skin I strongly believe you need to clean the inside and outside of your skin. Sixtey Percent of what we put on your skin is absorbed into the bloodstream. If you eat healthy and try and remove as many toxins from your body as possible you will look and feel great.

We have had great results from using MiEssence Skin Care and their probiotic superfood called InLiven.
Together these products do clean and nourish your skin.

"As used by jlo, apparently"

A soluble aspirin dissolved in literally two drops of water to make a thick paste. Leave on overnight and it seems to do the trick with stubborn, angry spots. Something to do with the salicyclic acid in aspirin. Otherwise "Clearasil Ultra" is pretty good. My spots were caused by a change in my pill. I changed again to one called Cerazette and they cleared up within a week.
