Yeah i have that a lot, Ive tried a range of different products on my hair to stop it going greasy quickly and i found the best one was a lemon shampoo it stops your hair going greasy and leaves your hair feeling refreshed and revived (recomended)

Hello, I am a hairdresser and I would recommend that you do not wash your hair everyday as this takes your moisture out of your hair.
If you have greasy hair then use Lemon shampoo. Wash your hair every other day and on the day's you don't wash your hair, use dry shampoo in a can. Use conditioner on your hair every two times of washing your hair, not everytime you wash your hair.
If you have dry hair, then please use almond shampoo.

I wouldnt suggest washing with cold water as this does not clean hair, but i wouldnt wash with water that is too hot as this will burn and damage the hair shaft.
Never use a baby's shampoo on the hair people think its a gentle shampoo but in fact for our hair it is not, it is to high a pH in alkaline this will really dry the ends of your hair making them look just horrible.
Use a shampoo that is an acid not only will this not dry out your hair but the acid qualities will rid you of grease.
By washing your hair to often you will make your sebaceous gland produce to much sebum as it is over compensating this is what makes your hair greasy, but dont wash to little either wash about twice a week this is the perfect amount as it will stimulate blood circulation regularly but not to much making hair greasy
If cost is not an issue then Revlon has a product out called Anti-Sebum and Sebum balance multi action this costs £30 and you can get it off this website www.ukhairdressers.com but i have not heard any feedback on this product as of yet
Even though you have greasy hair you should still when trying to erradicate this treat your hair as kindly as possible as you dont want to damage your hair and cause it to dry out in the process.
I am currently researching this hair type and if i come accross any intersting things i will pop on and leave u a reply
a good website to find out about this problem is:
www.ukhairdressers.com and www.http://www.bbc.co.uk/slink/index.shtml
Good luck with this

"Greasy hair and face at 38" Posted by tiana145 26 September at 23:11
Hi there
I cannot believe I have never grown out of my seriously greasy hair, I wash every second day and by the third it looks ridiculous I just couldn't go out with it so greasy. No one I know seems to suffer except me. Is it unusual to have greasy hair at this age and I will I ever grow out of it?
What is all this talk of lemon shampoo and which one are we talking about?
Along with the grease I feel I have lost about 40% of it over the last 8 years, due you think it could be due to the sebum which is what I have read.
As you are researching this I would be fascinated to find out if there is anything I can do that will help or if there is any hope at all that it will go away.

You should use Satinique Purifying Hair Cleanser and Moisturising Detangler. Satinique is an exclusive range that contains the Ceramide Infusion System. It gives your hair the body and smoothness that it desperately needs. I also use to have oily hair and started using these products and my hair is so smooth and healthy now. You definitely will love it. Email me at zbhatia@yahoo.com if you are interested.

I have recently tried a product called Klenz by Simply Awesum. I bought it on line. It is a kiwi and lime shampoo and a conditioner called limelight. It smells great and really works. The web address is www.simplyawesum.eu They do all kinds of great stuff and it is organic/natural. They are definately worth a try

"Well" Posted by spongebob151 20 July at 19:59
I'd suggest first stop washing your hair everyday, it's making the problem worse (easier said than done i know).Try to find mild shampoos (babies' ones) and conditionners .When you wash your hair, don't use hot water, the cooler the better. Try to do hair masks. If you can find green clay somewhere in a healthy shop eg, mix it with water and put it on your hair before shampooing for half an hour. The clay will absorb the grease. if you can't find it, have a look in Boots for another kind of mask suitable for you. I hope it helped a little bit.

"Less washes" Posted by darky20 13 August at 20:26
Yep, I totally agree with spongebob. I`ve had the same thing and when I washed my hair everyday it was worse then I started washing it every other day instead after learning that daily washing stimulates the Oil glands on the roots, and then it got better. Just tie it up into something tight so no one will notice your ''greasy mop'' till tomorrow. (lol, no offence). :P
I`m not sure about what you could wash it with though so everyones post`s helped me too!
