Hair dye advice

I have naturally red/strawberry blonde hair which is dyed dark brown. I am worrying about losing hair and intend to go back to my natural colour and leave it alone in future! I know that a salon was able to put a lighter colour over it the last time I did this and didn't have to 'strip' the hair or do anything too damaging to it.

Does anyone have any more knowledge about this? I thought that going from dark to fair meant bleaching?

if you had highlights you could mix in loads of different colours and go back gradually. It sounds like your natural colour was beautiful!

Giving advise to go back blonde

ive been blonde and then i died it brunette with a tint of redness to it but blonde is the hardest colour to get out but if you want to go back to it you have to do it in stages like light brown, to striecking it blonde do it step by step till you get to blonde dont bleach it you'll rouin your hair

Want to go a beautiful bronze light brown with darker blonde to giv a summer glow to my hair!

i have a natural boring brown coloured hair, but i'd die to have that back! i have black hair at the moment and my hair's been blond streaked, purple and now black. my friend uses the same black permanent dye as i do and she tryed to dye her blond but it went a manky ginger/green/yellow/orange colour.i dream to have blond blond blond hair, but im really not sure what to do. i know some of you have said you need to dye it light brown and higher, in stages. whats so wrong if you bleech your hair blond?

Don't know...

My sister had a similar hair accident, she dies it green for a fancy dress party (she's got beautiful, naturally blonde hair, God knows why she was playing around with it!) and it didn't wash out. The hairdresser had to strip it, like you say and highlight it to get it back to normal.
Have you tried Googling it?
