"Could be hormonal ..." Posted by snicker73 9 January at 21:23
Hi
I also have this problem and was greatly helped by taking Dianette which is a contraceptive pill. However Drs aren't so keen on letting you stay on it too long now. So it isn't a permanent solution.
I have been looking into alternatives and have read that the herb "Saw Palmetto" may help, I am giving it a go. You can get it from health food shops.
I have waxed and would recommend salon waxing rather than the home kits as it is less painful, and just remember that they do it all day every day so your hair is nothing they haven't seen before!
Its definately worth talking to your dr as it would be a good idea to make sure that it isn't caused by a condition like polycystic ovaries.
Take Care x

"Laser hair removal is a good option" Posted by jessica8111 9 December at 11:15
A lot of people have this problem. Don't think you are alone; it is very normal.
I've tried waxing, it sucked! I know it works great w/ some people, but I just didn't react well. I had lots of ingrown hairs afterwards; and my skin never achieved that pretty smoothness you would expect. For about a week after my skin was red, irritated and covered with red bumps, then the hair would start to grow back.
I actually have small scars from waxing my bikini area!
I am going through laser hair removal now. I've had 4 of the 8 needed treatments. I think it is going well. If you want to see pictures of my process visit www.laserhairremovaljournal.co m. I try to write a journal entry and take pictures of my laser hair removal progress every week; so you can see the different stages of hair growth.
If you do decide to do laser; DO LOTS of RESEARCH! So many people waste money and time doing laser treatments b/c they are not using the correct laser for their skin type. Good Luck!

oh, you're not alone faced with the problem.. i choose a combined way. For my underarm - waxing, legs - shavihg. Bikini.. hmm.. it is making me depressed the most. I gonna use laser or even electro. Wish it would help. Cuz waxing causes irritation.. The hairs grow in.. well, u understand)) how men are lucky, really?))

"Laser or epilator" Posted by jazzymina 11 October at 21:29
Laser hair removal would probably be a good way forward - if you have the money. Look out for special offers and only use reputable clinics that have had good reviews other than in their shop window.
If not, painful, but epilate. It can remove tiny hairs, and it is so quick. I've never gone back from epilating!
