Hello every body,

I am a french girl, aged 28 and I would like to go and work in England from 11th of July 2005 and I do not have limit in time to stay in this country.

I want to be a waitress or a receptionist in a hotel or restaurant and if it is possible in the south of England, and my I would prefer to be in London.

Is there anybody who can help me with some information because I do not know how find a job because I have some contacts but nothing real.

I will go in England to improve my English, to improve my skills and to know people...

It will be easier for you if you make contact before you arrive, at least then you won't feel quite so 'in at the deep end'

Im french and have lived in the London suburb for 6 years, like you i came in england with no job, i first arrived in Chichester which is a small town & i had no problem getting a job. u will be amazed at how quick you can find a job here and a room to stay, you will have to share cause it's too expensive to rent on your own. but job wise you find a job in no time, waiting or receptionnist depending how good your english is, good luck, let me know how it went. nat

to find a job the easiest is to go to your local Job centre (equivalent de l'ANPE), they have lots of offers there, or if you prefer just pop into every resto, hotel, bar, near where you live whith a CV & a smile(good presentation) and you'll find in no time!!!! nat
