Go for it!!!

HI,
I too am considering a tummy tuck after many years of dreaming about a flat tummy. Im just sorry i didnt do it sooner!!! yes im sure it will hurt, and yes im sure it will be expensive. from what i have found online the cost can vary greatly, and most websites wont even print a guide price, but i got two quotesat 4000 and 6500. bear in mind that every individual is different. my mother had it done after 11 children!!! yes i typed correctly!!! and she is all for it. i am 30 years old, and was overweight as a teenager and in most of my twenties to be honest!!! i have never had kids nor do i want them, i have no more doubts in my mind that i want to do this!!! so please consider it well, do your research, watch the videos-i watched some pretty gruesome ones on youtube, and when you have weighed up the pros and cons make your decision and stick with it!!!
Best of luck!!!

Thinking about tumy tuck too

I have also been thinking about a tummy tuck as well. I have done some research about guide prices and they do vary, but I found some good information at tummytuckscost.com,, the site is pretty good and gives the guidelines about all the costs etc including anesthesiologists fees.. It also gives some guidance about which tummy tuck is best, since there are different kinds. Hope that helps.

Info on tummy tuck

Since this thread has moved up, I would like to share some information regarding the topic.

First is with the cost. Average cost of tummy tuck in the US is $6000-$8000 (source: http://www.infoplasticsurgery.com/cost.html). With the increasing popularity of medical tourism today, more patients have discovered a more affordable way to have an excellent quality of tummy tuck and that is to have them done abroad. A tummy tuck in Argentina costs $4362 only and that already includes your medical procedure, hotel accommodation, breakfast and lunch, and your own english-speaking assistant (source: http://www.gosculptura.com/argentina/tummy.php). Argentina is one of the popular medical tourism destinations along with Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and others. These countries have modern hospitals and clinics with "leading edge" medical equipments. They also have surgeons who are well-experienced, board certified, and has undergone trainings in the US or Europe.

With regards to pain, tummy tuck can really be painful. Most patients stay in the hospital for pain medication. The level of pain will depend on each person's pain tolerance. It may even get worse after a few days or weeks after the surgery. But I think it is already given if you are having a surgery. The result of it is satisfying though. You will get rid of those extra saggy skin or the "apron" for other people's case.
