12th March!!! Wow thats extremely quick, will you be able to book the time off work? Apparently as far as Bupa said to me as long as you arent planning on any bis 'sessions' for a few days before the op you should be ok, also steer clear of any garlic supplements and aspirin.
Good luck, you have to tell me how it all went

Like the others said, dont drink for two weeks before or two weeks after. I was gutted when I was told all the things I couldn't do-no drinking, no smoking, no eating chinese or macdonalds-all my favourite things!
Stick to it though hunny, I had mine done 10 days ago and all is going well, pain pretty minimal (but everyone is different). I can drink again now and fully intend to this weekend. Just 3 days 7hrs and 6 mins till I can have a chinese! Not that Im counting or anything.
Best of luck, you'll be fine. Who you going with?

"Bupa - washington tyne & wear" Posted by tweety763 2 March at 12:12
1 whole month with no alcohol Plus no chinese which i love.
Im going with Bupa..its actually just 5 mins drive from where i live which is handy. I have just got a feeling that im going to be one of those unlucky ones and dont cope that well with the recovery...
I have 11 days off then im back at work im a little worried that it isnt enough, although i do just sit at a desk so it should be ok, its just the driving part really.
How long had you wanted to get yours done? Mine is basically when i stopped growing just was never brave enough. Im really excited now only 1 week and 6 days

"Under or over?" Posted by mellyjane 2 March at 13:36
I think 11 days should be fine. Im a student and had to back after a week cos I could not afford to take any more time off. It's not like it involves any manual labour but little things have been a problem like picking up books (they're absolut monsters!) and I have to walk about quite alot, to campus and into town etc. All in all though going back after a week was fine. After 11 days you'll probably be dying to get back!
That said, I went over the muscle and recovery is slightly quicker. Which are you having?
As for driving, I am going to wait the two weeks but only because my car is currently 50 miles away. Just take it easy. Drive slowly, pull over if you need to and dont be too agressive with the gear stick. My hospital told me 10 to 14 days until you can drive so you should be fine.
I've always wanted my boobs done but thought of it as something only the rich and famous do which is ridiculous! It's always held me back and meant I never felt truly comfortable around men. I dont really have a problem with the rest of my body except the usuals-bit of cellulite here, bit of a roll there! But nothing to give me any real concern. I cant wait till I can wear normal bras and finally feel comfortable with myself.
Its not about being vein or thinking material things can make you happy. sometimes there is no big in depth reason your unhappy that needs addressing and analysing. Sometimes a woman just needs to lose abit of weight, or get a new haircut, or get nicer boobs!
Try to use this time feeling excited not worried (easier said than done I know). The day before mine felt like christmas eve!
Please keep me updated as to how your feeling and how everything goes.
Best wishes,
Mel xx

I was told not to drink alcohol 2 weeks before surgery. Was also advised not to eat chinese, mushrooms, garlic, or asprin. They all contain blood thining or thickening agents. What else??? dont take antibiotics a week before surgery or smoke a month before. Oh and make sure you take Arnica 30 Lisa x

yeh, I've seen that mentioned a lot. It has to do with the blood thinning qualities of alcohol - they need you to be as healthy as possible before you have surgery! - blue x
