Gradual tan building lotions

Hi everybody!
Until last year I used sunbeds a lot, but I notic ed my skin would get really dry and I got quite a few wrinkles in the past year so I'd like to stop. But being pasty isn't my favourite, so I thought I'd try these gradual tan building body lotions. I went to Boots to get one, but everybody seems to make them nowadays! Neutrogena, Johnson&Johnson, Garnier, LOreal, Dove, Olay, even Boots themselves! I just don't know which one to pick... Has anyone tried them?

Real products

hey , currently there is no real way to get a long lasting tan without the sun . however there are lotions out there with a chemical called "Dihydroxyacetone" or DHA , this is what will give you the fake tan , the higher ammounts of this in the cream or lotion there is the faster and more better your tan will be , but there is a limit to how much can be put in .. which is around about 10% anymore than 10% could cause damage if exposed to alot of sunlight, according to studies done by Katinka Jung of the Gematria Test Lab in Berlin so it is important to wear sunblock atleast 25+ and seen as 90% of wrinkles and ageing is caused by sun damage , a 25+ sun block should be worn every day anyway . a good lotion to wear which has a higher % of DHA than your expensive and less effective brands is "vitiligo cover lotion" used to cover up patches of skin that have gone white. this product also contains sunblock so is great . hoped this helped you all . for people with skin conditions you can also refer to this website http://www.birthmarksupportgroup.org. uk/camouflage-.htm to look at lotions/creams similar to vitiligo cover lotion but works even better and is treatment for a range of skin conditions , it also gets rid of tatoos for a short while . a good one is http://www.veilcover.com/ . hoped all this helped

Vitiligo cover lotion

You mention Vitiligo cover lotion in your message, where did you manage to buy it from, I am having trouble ordering this on the net, seems only supplied to USA customers. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jean

Tanning lotions

i have the johnson one, and i like it. seems to be less streaky than others, but because its not coloured when applicating, mind and wash your hands after(been there, done that, not good)lol. you could also try one that is coloured, if it is too dark, mix it with moisturiser, till you get your ideal colour, saving you money too, only need half the amount then, haha. good luck

I've tried most of them!

I've tried the Johnson&Johnson, Garnier, Dove and Loreal ones (and a few of the shops own brand ones!)- I think the Dove one is the least smelly, but I didn't get much of a tan with any of them. Lots of people are raving about the J&J one though. Personally I think gradual tanners are a false economy because you need to use half the bottle to get any colour....

Johnsons

I used the Garnier product most of last year but tried the Johnsons product a few weeks ago when Boots were doing an offer. It's better than the Garnier product because I found that rubbed off on towels and clothes. You get a nice light tan after a few days. The facial product is good too. Gail

Hi
