| Thread started by: | "Eyebrow training" Posted by chelle1980 16 April at 16:31
hi there. this probably sounds lke a really daft question. but if someone can help, i would be really grateful.
my eyebrows are very untamed. i love seeing girls walking around with their eyebrows lovely and tidy, but mine don't seem to ever do it.
i used to get them waxed, but the usual, mum things, i ended up not having a minute to pee, let alone go to a salon. i never fancied D.I.Y waxing. i think i would wax them all off!!!!
so, my real question is, is there a fool proof way to pluck my brows, and how can i get them trained. i would love thin, but i cant do it at all without mucking it up.
please, please HELP!!!

Definitely go with threading to sort out your eyebrows, but find a decent therapist place to do it.
I heard waxing eyebrows eventually makes the delicate eye and face skin sag and go wrinkly so in the end I got my eyebrows threaded at The Powder Lounge place in Debenhams in Oxford Street and after that will never wax or pluck my eyebrows or upper lip ever again.
I got my eyebrows threaded at this place in Debenhams in Oxford Street called The Powder Lounge which i find do an excellent job and give lovely results http://www.thepowderlounge.co.uk
I've been back there twice in 8 weeks as they make my brows look amazing! (and thats a miracle considering the wonky hairs I had on my eyebrows where the hair was growing in different directions from wrong plucking and waxing, as well as the old scar which used to make my brows look uneven and one was higher than the other until the girl here fixed that problem and made them look good). This is their site which i found gave me a lot of info before i went there again http://www.thepowderlounge.co.uk
My brows now look much much better, totally symmetrical, defined and with a lovely arch and they kept my eyebrows a nice medium thickness (not too thin which is good for my face apparently as it makes my big nose look smaller ) . They also gave me a nice free eye massage near my brows, temples and eyelids which was very calming. I totally reccomend it as the girl there has made me look like I have catherine zeta jones eyebrows!! beautiful even if i do say so myself!
I totally reccomend it as it's made such a totally big difference and a massive improvement to my normally wonky and very bushy uneven eyebrows and to the way my face looks overall, it makes me look more awake and i don't have to wear as much makeup to make my eyes stand out/ look more striking any more.
oh yeah, i got my upper lip done too, which left it smooth and bare and my lip line looking pouty and more defined (bonus! ) and was done so quickly i couldn't feel a thing!

Hey Chelle,
Not much help are we hehe. My eyebrows are really thick and I found the best way is to get them waxed once in a while and then just pluck them as they grow in. I have to trim them to and my salon advised me to comb them upwards - use a small toothed comb - and trim off any that were above my brow line. Go gently though cause I have trimmed a little more off than I wanted to. I've never tried DIY either to risky. Good luckxx

thank you very much. i think i will need to go to a salon. i have just done them, and i feel they are now uneven. my left one seems thinner than the right, and causes it to look slanted.
i don't know what eye brow tattooing involves, but it is meant to be quite good.
thanx again.
