what do you think are the major issues in woman body image?

i totally agree with you that meadia is one or the biggest issuer in frabricated women body image but why us as women we feel the pression to live to those unrealistic standars. we all know its totaly unhealthy to weigth half of our weight. And poeple who have eating disorders have some sort of low steem but people who doesnt measure up to those "standars" also have selfsteem problems. when and how it got so complicated? where all this unsatisfaction comes from? im just really curious about this subjet and i need some answers from real people just like me not from another magazine that promotes the same issues we are trying to argue

... A womans body image, i think, is at this current time at its worst. As more celebs are competing to be the slimmest, every other 'normal' female is aiming to following in the same path. We worry about everything from our love handles, and backs of our thighs, to how big are boobs!Its rediculous really, but we're all victims i know i am. I can't help but copy and paste pictures of Adriana Lima, and do 500 crunches a night to get abz as perfect as hers. I don't think there is a certain issue that we could pin point, i think its our overal image, how our body looks and feels as a whole. Its hard not worry about it when the sexiest celebs are splashed all over the mags and flauting their new and improved bodies on the music vids. It can all go to far though can ... and already we're finding ourselves helplessly obsessed
