Essantial oils for oily skin

Hello,

I don't know the right words in english... but I can say you which essantial oils use for your skin:

* tea tree
* lavande (in french sorry)
* Palmarosa
* Orange
* lemon ( but you cannot use this on day, only at night before sleep, it's a problem with sun)

You have to put one or two drops on your vegetal oil (jojoba for example).

Thanks

I bought two essential oils today : lavender and lemon.
I also found the soya bean I was looking for. Actually I was searching in the beauty departement from my shop but it was with the other vegetable oils (food). I didn't know it's the same oil that the one you have in your kitchen!
So I pour some soya oil in a smaller bottle ( the 1/2 pint glass bottle didn't get well in my bathroom) mix with 4 drops lemon essential oil and 4 drops lavender.
I'll tell you soon how is getting.
tell you soon

Okay

Your mix seems good, i'm waiting for your answer!

But don't use food oil... only jojoba, nut, mild almond (do you have it on your shops?) and olive oils.

By hearsay, oily skin can be moisturized with aloe vera gel and four lavander or lemon's drops.

See you soon!

Food oil

why not food oil? Olive oil is food!
Any way the soya oil is quite thikky and yellow
My skin is quite softer any way. It can e bad with this cold windy weather!

What about baby oil (like the johnson one)? Can I use it for my body?

have a nice day

Re: food oil

I think soya oil isn't better as olive oil... but if you look it's better why not our skins are diferents...

You're right it's better to use oil with this weather!!! Skin need it. But do you use oil at night or in the morning? I use this before sleep.

Do you know argan oil? It's from Morocco and it have a lot of success here in France.

You can use Baby oil for your body, but not for your face (blemish...), use it after the shower while your skin is a little wet.

Bye

Hi robbiangel

After 3 weeks of soya oil treatement, my face skin is beautiful!!
It's not oily any more, it's not mat, but it's ok. I had'nt spot for long now, even during my periodes or with the stress of my new job!

What can I do for my hair? They are oily as well, even my scalp shine! I try not to wash them dayly but it's hard. They are long and fit less. I tryed new shampoo but it doesn't help. I want to try natural beauty product and because you seem to know a lot about it, I ask you!
Thanks by advance

bye

Yes!

Hi there,

I'm a froggy but have lived in England for the past four years. I usually spend hours on the french version of this website and noticed this morning they had opened the english equivalent: hoorrayyyyyyyyy!

Anyway, just wanted to react on this thread as I have developed a new passion for natural products! I chucked all my Clarins, Clinique and the likes products last week, much to my husband's amazement, and made room for my vegetable oils and floral waters.
I have combination skin and used to have occasional spots. I started using sweet almond oil to remove my make-up and rose water to tone my skin afterwards. Even though I was doubtful at first (how can oil not make skin oily?) I have not looked back since: my skin looks radiant, I no longer have pimples and everybody wants to know my secret weapon! I have since then bought some hazelnut oil (best for combination skin) and jojoba oil, which I use both on my skin and hair.

I'm only a new fan of natural products but am exploring this whole new world now so if you have any questions or want to join!

Petitelinette

Olive oil face wash ???

I saw you message about the olive oil to clean the face. I noticed you also used sweet almond oil and hazelnut oil.
My question is how do you clean the face with the oil? Do you wash it off with soap and water after? Do you tissue it off?
Also, where can you buy rose water?

Rosewater

You should be able to get rosewater online or from Greek shops etc. I think Tesco may do it too, but I'm not 100% sure.

Natural products

Hi petitelinette, I have problem skin aswell and find that cleansers for problem skin usually contain alcohol and this makes my skin really dry.
I'd like to use sweet almond oil and rose water (i've heard elsewhere this is good) where can you get these products from?
xx

I used olive oil for body scrub...

Best scrub I ever used! I really love the sanctuary salt scrub GORGEOUS smell, but couldn't find it in boots for a while so thought I'd try my own scrub. I mixed half a cup of sugar withhalf a cup of olive oil and WOW! My skin was SOOO soft, my stretch marks even looked less visible! So cheap as well, only thing is be careful cos the bath gets a bit slippy and it is FILTHY after. Worth it though! xx

How strange

that sounded really weird to me... how can oil itself make your skin less oily?!
I sued it to take my make-up off last night, i think you're right, it leaves a really nice silky feeling - but you do smell a bit oily! Am going to carry on with it and see what happens.
Does anyone from Europe know anything about this?

Hey

I'm from France, I use this oil for all my body and hair's cosmetics, like peeling (with sugar)before my shampoo for my hair...

I can answer you, the oily skin need more moisturized cosmetics, to help skin to regular the processus of "sebum" i don't know if it's the good word in english... So when you agress your skin, she becomes more oily... in contrary when you give to her moisturized products the skin stops her "sebum" production.

You have no danger, it's a natural method, without danger for your skin... just so goooood!!!

I hope you will understand my post

Bye!
