Airbrushing

Hi, I was just wondering what people's opinions were on airbrushing in magazines.

Do you notice it - does it effect you?
Do you think it's bad or are you not bothered?
Would you be airbrushed if you were going to feature in a magazine?

Would be really interested to learn everyone's views on this. Thanks

Airbrushiing pro and con

i think air brushing has two sides, you could look at it from 2 points of view.

the fist being that it provides a false look which people believe to be real. this creates an image of what people see as perfect and try to achieve. it also creates an image of what is normal and this sends out the message that everybody should look like the airbrushed pictures.....which is almost impossable!

the other side is that you could argue that celebs feel pressure to look good aswell, if it isnt airbrushed it is seen to be ugly and there will be nasty things writen all over the media about them. if is isnt airbrushed it usually ends up on one of they pages in womens mags that have big circles round celebs ugly features. so really, they really cant get it right at all whatever they do.

so the end question is........would you be air brushed to feature in a magazine? and my answer is yes! totally, if i knew there was going to be nasty remarks made about every little imperfection on my body then i would want to eliminate those imperfections!

i think if people look at those air brushed pictures and believe these people actually look like that then more fool them.
