Whats the best facial primer??

hey,

iv been thinking for a while that i really need to try a makeup primer, i hate the fact that half way through the day my makeup looks rubbish and i have been told that a primer is the way to go

can anyone recommend a good primer that hopefully will moisturise my skin whilst keeping my makeup flawless??

thanks xxx

Arbonne

Hi I'm a skincare consultant so the best make up primer that I recommend is Arbonnes:

https://www.arbonneinternational.co.uk /shop_online/showcatalog.asp

It evens out dry or oily patches, is gentle enough to use around the eyes, contains anti ageing properties, has NEVER been tested on animals and you only need a tiny amount, so the bottle lasts approx 6 months.

A lot of beauticians use this as it keeps make up on all day looking fresh.

I find that a good quality moisturiser works well. It gives the foundation a good base and allows it to be applied more smoothly

Best primer.

Hey, I had the same problem with my make up and was worried that when I was a bridesmaid abroad my make up would come off half way through the day.

Someone recommended Smashbox foundation primer to me and it worked a treat! It is pale pink, gel like and creates a really smooth glowing base for your foundation to go on. I use it with bare escentuals mineral powder and my make up stayed on the whole day and night.

You can buy it off ebay for about 14 pounds or on their own website. Just google smashbox.

Good Luck!

Primer

Thanks - that's great. I couldn't find a UK Smashbox site but I found their products on a site called Just Beauty
http://www.justbeautydirect.co.uk/department/photo_finish_primer_light/

Not sure I'm looking at the right thing cos they';re more expensive than I thought £23.24 !

Is that what you have to pay for a good primer?

Thanks

This was the cheapest I could find it for on ebay but thats a "Buy It Now" price. You could take a risk and bid for one though. Didn't realise they were as expenisive but my bottle has lasted ages and was given another one for my xmas! Trust me its worth it.

The only other primers I know are laura mercier and bare escentuals and they are all over 15 pounds.

Hope that helps! Fx
