I like to get naked and drive around and also dress in lingerie and drive around...In Australia it is not illegal to be barefoot...Heads turn when they see a guy wearing lingerie...

"Once" Posted by spongebob151 28 June at 22:59
I had to drive barefoot once because my flip flops kept slipping away. It was horrible, it felt like i wasn't in control at all. Never again!!

"No, and it is illegal....." Posted by glaswegian 28 April at 09:02
You should always be wearing proper footwear (no barefoot, no high heels etc.). You need to have full control over your feet and your vehicle. If you are involved in an accident and you were driving barefoot, your insurance will not pay because it'll be your fault, even if it is just a partial fault and you might not have even caused the accident. If you cause an accident by driving barefoot, it'll be your complete fault by negligence. Your insurance will not pay and the other party might claim damages from you and you will be taken to court.
That's the way it is over here, I don't know what it is like in England.

"I do not agree!!!" Posted by cathy19791 20 May at 15:51
Sorry, but I don't think so. There isn't any "unsuitable" footwear. It all depends on the driver.
I like Buffalo shoes and I keep them on for driving. Don't know about dangerous or forbidden. I've had a few instances with my shoes where they've slipped but now I've got used to them and can drive safely, so I don't see the problem.

I was in Hawaii, driving my mate's car back from the beach and I had cut my toe and couldn't wear any shoes. I managed ok, but didn't feel in complete control as it were! I think they're a bit more relaxed about things like that ver there, even though it's the US

The car didn't have any indicatros either, so we had to stick our arms out of the windows whenever we wante to turn, lol ...nor did it have a reverse gear, so we had to either push or do complicated turns round. haha, that's put a smile back on my face on this grey office morning!!
