Where can i find comfortable boots?

Besides Clarks?

I can't seem to find any boots that don't make me feel like my feet are being pinched. Apparently I've figured out that one of my feet is bigger than the other but not enough to make a size difference.. but enough so that.. I've tried on boots in many different stores and it seems the only ones that feel good to me are ones from Clarks which are knee-high. i would get those except they look slightly too big around the knee area. in particular, i'm looking for a dark brown slouch mid-calf boot. I'm from America so I don't know what the good brands are around here.
