| Thread started by: | "Should we really be having kids?!?" Posted by scarlett1216 26 January at 12:42
This was a discussion started in my class. Do we really want to bring kids up in a world where we are all desensitized to rape, murder and assault. Why would u want to bring a kid up in a world of terrorism, racism and such seperations. Greebos hate chavs etc and i thoroughly believe not having kids is the best thing what about you?

Or in the next 100 years there will be no people!
Beyond that, if we believe that we have the ability to change the world with our actions and our ability to influence others, and to pass on our compassion, wisdom & humanity through our own children, we would want to do so. Maybe we or our children can change the world.
Otherwise, it there may only be those people who have lost their humanity, have been raised in ignorance and fed with hatred who will survive to shape our species culture.
On the flipside, they would be the only people living in it so a few 100 years and we would go *poof* as a species as well - spontaneously combused by a violent culture and ignorance.
Maybe some feel that is best for the earth... doesn't help humanity, though.
So being a biological 'dead end' may not actually do any good at all. Depends on if you are part of the problem, or part of the solution.

I think its now about changing the world. For so many years some great people have made a big impact to the world, sure they have made some changes, but what is it that they really change? Is it the way of living or our perceptions. I believe that instead of changing the world, people should just change on how they look at the world. It is too beautiful to be changed. Sometimes being human makes you strive to change the world, and the sometimes the results are not too positive. Also, I think the main problem with us people is that we always tend to be human. Sometimes we got to be more uplifted by our spirit to have different perception. so I do agree and I qoute "being a biological 'dead end' may not actually do any good at all. Depends on if you are part of the problem, or part of the solution."
