Eu getting bigger

Hi

What does everyone think to the European Union becoming so big? I think it's gonna start posing some real problems... I don't understand how any laws will get passed when so many countries have to be consulted and have to come to an agreement.

We can't even all agree on the EU constitution... the fundamental basis of the EU.

I reckon it's getting too big. I think UK would be better off getting out to be honest!

Why

is everyone so anti-EU?? We might live on a rock, but we don't have to isolate ourselves.

Who said we have to become isolated?

Why would it mean we have to become isolated? Do you think we wouldn't trade with european countries anymore? I can fully understand the so called new countries wanting to join the EU. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. This is not necessarily the case for us and that is what the majority of anti EU campaigners are saying.
Going back to isolation [which isn't something I would want]. The Swiss have been isolated for a very long time and seem to be coping better than most, if not all. I lived there for a short time many years ago. No unemployment, no poverty! Whose closest to finding the right answer?
