"The general public?" Posted by tinkernature 26 February at 19:25
I don't think the general public is that concerned. The U.S cannot afford to send more troops in a country like Iran. It is more likely that Israel, with the blessing of Uncle Sam, will strike the Iranian nuclear plants the way it did in Irak in the 80's.

"Oily bush" Posted by Granniekool 26 February at 18:06
No, I don't believe Blair would dare to go along with this latest insanity. I believe the renewed interest in Iran has more to do with oil than nuclear weapons, afterall North Korea is an equal threat - but oiless - if that is a word!!

"Another mess coming ahead " Posted by trifle55 8 February at 10:49
Iran is a bit tough so if Bush's going to wage war on them the way he has already done elsewhere I'm afraid that's going to be the end of him. It's quite clear that his quest has nothing to do with democracy and human rights .All he's been saying is balloney ; he ought to deal instead with the high unemployment rate in his country, social security problems as well as so many other inner problems his people are enduring .They're living under pressure , so democracy ought to start being applied into his own home country !

"I don't think blair will" Posted by badger1 11 February at 15:09
I think the moment for that has passed, there would be a major public outcry if he did it again and surely he can't be that stupid before a general election. He has been completely ridiculed by the press for being Bush's lapdog, I'm sure his self-esteem couldn't allow him to even if he wanted to!
