seeing an article like that on the front page of one of the red tops, which I don't buy I forget which one, it was some time ago. I certainly wasn't a broadsheet.
Clearly anyone who wrote these items must be feeling pretty awful about it now, and indeed it is amazing that they should have been published in the first place.
It's not Daisy's fault though, you seem ot be being a little agressive towards her!

Whole thread for the following message:

Thread started by:
"Abigail witchalls"

Terribly sad story:

"Abigail Witchalls was pregnant again when she was stabbed in a brutal attack in an idyllic English village, it has emerged.

Mrs Witchalls was carrying her second child when she was attacked in broad daylight in nearby Little Bookham on Wednesday.

It was not clear whether she has kept the baby.

Her 21-month-old son Joseph, who she was pushing in a buggy, witnessed the attack in a secluded lane close to their home in an area police regard as one of the safest in the country.

The attacker plunged a knife into Mrs Witchall's neck in what detectives believe was either a botched robbery or a random stabbing by a maniac."

I think all the journalists who wrote the early articles saying she'd been having an affair deserve to lose their jobs!

What a viscious attack. It won't do anything to halt the growing US-style paranoia though.

"Scurillous attack on poor abi"

Having read this item posted by Daisy260 I was most upset. All the reports I've read in the press are full of sympathy for her-in fact a few commentators have written articles to the effect that a disproportionate ammount of sympathy has gone to this girl because she is so "non-chav"! I wrote to Daisy privately asking her politely which paper(s) had printed this/these stories. Have not yet had a reply!
I'llcopy and paste the message I sent to her immediately after I've sent this.

Does anybody else know which paper(s) printed this/these story(ies)?
DAISY SPECIFICALLY STATES ALL THOSE THOSE JOURNALISTS IMPLYING IT WAS AT LEAST THREE,
Neither me nor my boyfriend wishes to buy these papers again.
We've looked on the web and can find no reference to this brave faithful woman having had "an affair"
DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW WHICH PAPERS THIS/THESE STORIES APPEARED IN.
DAISY DOESN'T SEEM TO WANT TO "GIVE ME HER ANSWER,DO"
I've written to her 3 times since June 16.
Would really appreciate your help if anyone knows anything about "these reports".
Thanks,
Apryl

Heres the original message I sent to Daisy260 on the 16 June to which I have not yet had a reply:-POOR ABIGAIL WITCHALLS & REPUTATION & PARALYSIS:-

I 've just read your story about poor Abigail.
Good to know that she's kept the baby who appears to be doing well-lets hope she recovers enough to overcome her paralysis at least enough to be able to hold and feed her baby
Indeed let's hope & pray she recovers fully. Nobody deserves this least of all this brave faithful loving woman.
Daisy please allow to to ask you about your posting dated 26 April. You say that journalists should be ashamed of articles they wrote about this girl having an affair and that they deserve to lose their jobs.SURELY THAT DOESN'T GO HALF FAR ENOUGH. Surely the editors, sub-editors & others who approved publication also desrve not to be in further employment and whilst they so remain I think we should not buy their publicationsI Daisy ,sorry to bother you but could I ask you to tell me which papers published these stories and on what date?
Obviously it must have been within days of the attack. sorry to bother you if you can't pin the date down exactly it doiesn't matter.,just the name of the papers.
DAISY WHAT'S THE NAME OF YOUR DOG ?
I send him my regards as I indeed I do to to you.
Regards,
Apryl

I know the papers now are full of sympathy, but at the time, I distinctly remember reading several negative headlines on newsstands.
Like Glendale says, they were tabloids, but to be honest I didn't register which ones as I was buying petrol at the time.
I haven't checked my pms for ages, sorry.

Poor girl.
At least the baby's ok.
Her grandmother died about a month ago too, that poor family.
Apparently, she can breath and speak for short periods and feeling is returning to her body which is amazing after such an attack.

Hello Belle, Is ther a chance this poor girl could recover from such a terrible injury?
It's 8 weeks now.
Be really interested to see your profile when it comes in.
Trust u r well and keep that way.
