Whole thread for the following message:

I am making a documentary for BBC Radio 1Xtra, the sister station to BBC Radio 1 looking at the sensitive issue of date rape.
The documentary will explore the subject through the experiences of the young people themselves. Therefore I'm specifically looking for young people who would be happy to be interviewed about their views and personal experiences.
Obviously the issue is delicate and the young people could remain anonymous if they so desired, and if they were under the age of 16, we would obviously need to secure parental consent. The series aims to raise awareness of these important issues in a real but responsible way.
The programme will be a balanced look at some of the issues and themes the subject raises. In the programme we will examine how young people cope with date rape, how it affects them and how we can try to prevent such abuse. This would include people who have had drinks spiked with drugs and those who have been raped during a date. We will also look at their personal predicaments, the emotions they go through and the support they receive from family, friends and help groups.
I would be very grateful if you could assist me in finding potential interviewees for the programme. I understand you support people dealing with sexual abuse, so perhaps you could mention the programme to them during your meeting with them and ask them if they would be interested in taking part. We would be happy to change names and preserve peoples anonymity if required. Naturally, as we are talking to young people, we would deal with them as sensitively as possible.
I can be contacted on 0207 453 1659. I look forward to hearing from you,
Many thanks
Emily Jeal

Hi!! I am male, and I am strongly against rape, as well as any kind of violence on women, animals and people in general. However, most of the time there is no force involved, rather than both the man and the woman need sex, wmich may be because of a few pints. Please tell me what s wrong when a man and a woman are happy on the bottle and DECIDE to have sex? When people go out, whether young or old, they take alcohol because they wanna have fun. Women also do this, and they turn the men on. This is different from forceful sex. In the case which I term social case, either the man or woman begins flirting with each other. Then, if the other responds, they begin hugging and touching. Then, they peacefully have sex. Then why does the legislation limit the enjoyment of it's citzens? Are we in a religious state? It is usual that when you agree to have sex with someone, you might wake up the next day and regret it, either because you notice that the man will not keep you and a permanent girlfriend. Then all kinds of ideas of revenge come to your mind. This is not fair on men, because you know that both men and women need the same thing, but it seems some women are similar to the female spider, who devour the men after sex. Thi is very different from using force. It is just part of the enjoyment. Are we a victim of the legislation?

Date Rape is when someone is drugged or sedated then raped, sometimes without even knowing. Not all women and men go out to have sex, some are going out to have a good time too. Date rape is not drinking too much and sleeping with someone you wouldn't have normally, because at the end of the day, people take that chance when they choose to drink to an extent to where they know they will not be able to control themselves. The date rape being referred to involves spiking drinks etc, where the victim is not aware. Where they are raped whilst unconcious or unable to act themselves.
