hello from WONDERWOMAN
last week my friend asked me to take her to an appointment she had with a model agency in central London.
what happened was:
she had to fill a form, that s fine. they asked her £ 10 for a photo shoot, so that they would be able to tell if she is ok in front of a camera.
She had the pictures taken, they said ok.
Next step she has to choose a "package" which is a CD of her own pictures so that the agency will put her on the AGENCY WEBSITE...£ 150 for a minimum of 3 months, more money for more months of visibility .NO GARANCY she will be contacted for any job....
WHAT DO U RECKON? ANYONE HAD ANY EXPERIENCE LIKE THAT?

Im sorry but I have been in the modelling industry all of my life, my mum was a super model and I too model, so I know how to seperate the professionals to the Cons!
Any professional model agency that wants to take you on their books, or wants you to represent their agency WILL pay for any photos/ photoshoots and portfolio for you. This is a sign that they are not using you or conning you.
Your friend should be very very warry of any agency that is making her pay for pictures.
She should also shop around, ask them questions as to who thier biggest clients are, check out the other girls that are on their books.
It would be interesting to know what agency it is???
Hope this helps you and your friend.
Good Luck
Skyla x
