A couple of months ago at work i asked for a glass of water from my boss while i was working as i was extremely thirsty , I was pregnant , when I asked he was busy laughing and joking with another work colleague and I obviously was interrupting him and he was like I don't want to make a habit of doing this blah blah blah , so I said get me off the table(I work in a casino) and ill get it myself .He went to get me a glass of water and he comes back with a big glass , with only a gulp of water in it , hardly anything there it was pathetic and totally ridiculous and unessary, ive worked there for over 11 years and ive asked for water loads of times from other managers and its never ever been a problem and I was never pregnant before. They usually just get a waitress to get you a glass but this man went out of his way to get me water himself , a tiny amount of water , what sort of man is that? A few days later I found out I had a undiagnosed stomach infection that why I had been so thirsty and tired all the time and it killed my baby and almost killed me . I went back to work last week and I get upset even looking at him , the more I think about it the more angry I get , obviously I don't blame him for the loss of my child but he had no right to abuse his power this way and be on some ego trip . Do you think its too late for me to make a complaint? or do you think im over reacting?
all advice would be greatly appreciated
thank you

I think it's not very late. You should ask a lawyer for advice he know if it's possible and the terms of complaint.
Water is an essential product for our life.

Good luck!

This is appaling behaviour on his part and should certainly be reported and if possible dealt with on a legal level.

Is the casino part of a chain? If so, it might be worth going straight over his head and talking to the central HR department.

Behaviour like this should not be tolerated.
