Help.. will i be able to get a job in social work!!??

I am currently working as a finance administrator adn have been working in offices/ admin for years now, i have finally decided that it really isnt for me and is so mundane it is drving me crazy. I would really like to get a job in social workand i know i have to study for quite a long time to get the right qualifications which i really dont mind however 6 years ago i got cautioned for possesion of class a drugs. it was a stupid act of sticking up for my then boyfriend and i took the rap for it, hence only being cautioned as they new it wasnt mine. However will i ever be able to get the job i want or a career in social work with this showing up on my CRB checks?

I did have a job working for a womens charity doing the finance admin a few years ago but i quit it when i found out i would have to do a CRB check and i so wish i hadnt as i loved it there.

Can anyone who owrks in this sector help please??
