Redundency scare need a fresh start

i currently work for a steel industry in the railway technologies department as a metalllurgical technician and am being relocated to somewhere much further away from home.

I have no qualifications as my employer was ment to be sponsering my degree but obviously this has been put on hold now so i'm wondering if any one had any ideas of jobs i can get into to start a fresh???
