I think you put this in another forum and someboy answered, but you will ahve to ask landlords directly whether or not they allow animals. Usually they don't, but you can't really generalise about a whole country and their landlords! Do they let you in France?!

... yes, in France our landlords can't refuse pets in their flats except if it's just a room in their houses. But if you have a dog, the landlord or the agency can prefer someone else than you but it's very rare when you have cats, they don't really care... they also can't refuse somebody who's smoking or something like that even if it's furnished, just if it's a room in their house... Do you know a forum where somebody should answer my question?

that's great! So if you move in, then decide to get a cat then there's no problem?
I think your best bet is to phone a few landlords or agencies which interst you before you move over. Your cats will ahve to be in quarantine for a long time anyway, so it will give you a chance to find a flat where you can keep your pets.

"Yes absolutely..." Posted by sarahtary 16 December at 11:52
... you're landlords don't need to know if you decide to have a cat or not...
the quarantine is over now : you just need to put an electronical "flea" (i don't if it's the same word in English...) under their skin 6 month before you are going to move... so i don't know... maybe i can come in England first, alone, and look for a flat insisting on the fact that we have two cats...
thank you so much for your advice katy!!

I think you will find it very difficult to find a property for rent that will allow you to keep your cats - especially for that price. My partner and I rent a one bed flat (ground floor) with 2 cats and its over £100 per month then you say you can afford. It depends which location you want though. Your best bet is to sort out which location you are going to study in.
That is if that info is still of any help.
